When I was 25 I had a huge falling out with my middle/high school friends over who I was in love with. All 7 of us were inseparable. We were at each other's houses everyday, I lived with 2 of them for years and never thought we would be apart. This album came out the same year the huge fight happened.... and I used to drive in the middle of the night weeping to this song at full volume. This hurts to this day. 💔
@ethanride3203 Жыл бұрын
Damn dude, I never thought I'd see a comment so relative to my life. I had a huge falling out with my 7 best friends too when I was 25, lived with two of them(they were brothers) for a couple years, never thought we wouldn't be friends anymore. The fight happened over a girl one of the brothers stole from another best friend, I told him what was going on behind his back and everything fell apart. I don't see any of them anymore, and I listen to this song and cry about it sometimes. That shit gave me like PTSD and it's still hard to this day.

“they keep erasing all the streets we grew up in”, that line always gets to me ;;; growing up my, family moved a lot, every other year pretty much. every ‘home’ became a ‘house’, we buried our housecat that was older than me at the time behind another house we left behind. i used to always cry when i had to throw away my toys and old things in order to conserve space to move again,, now i hoard what’s left of my old things, i never in my life had any real friends because ever since i was seven, i knew id never see those people ever again. i was born into that life, not my mother, not even my sister; now, neither of them believe my trauma because it was only a piece of their lives when it was my entire reality

i just came here to make sure i wasnt the only grown up wanting to cry when hearing this song. It reminds me of all those friends, from my childhood, those i tought would last forever, but somehow we grew apart. And how about those friends we lost not so many years ago? I was raised in the suburbs so part of my heart is there....and i used to have a soul sister there....but a couple of years ago we grew apart, i suppose we stopped having things in common? she decided to vanish and i respected her decision....and i tough I was over it....but this song comes to teach me everytime than i am so wrong. It makes want to cry and I promise its not the red wine talking.

Nunca volví a verte.

Hi, lived through this era in Houston, not far from Will. We reached a point if you didn't cut your hair you lost friends you'd known for years. I kept my hair, it got long, ended up pretty much alone and never really trusted people much after that. The lyrics are history for some of us, many people everywhere I suppose. We lost our innocence and quite honestly it still hurts. Maybe that is why people dislike the lyrics. Peace.
