Downloaded it yesterday and did my real first solo playthrough today. What fun it is! Although I’m not so much of a fan of the art style, the gameplay and music was what made it fun to me. I love rogue like and this game really does it well - especially with the shooter combat. The music really suits each playthrough while I’m running to complete objectives and blasting enemies. I really hope people don’t sled on this game as I’d like to see it do well.

I’m really enjoying this title, but it’s undeniably rough around the edges at times too. I’ve gotten stuck sliding into walls about three or four times already, random glitches when getting too close to enemies and objects while jumping, frame drops, and my friend just crashed going into a Bossfight in a run we were doing. The $20 price tag is nice, but I expected someone reviewing the games to address some of the technical issues

The haptic feedback on the PS5 controller when you shoot is impressive to say the least, I enjoy the movement. I think this game will only get better as more updates come out.

Did you make it past difficulty 2? Wait till you hit difficulty 15 and above, it starts to frame drop due to a lot of action on-screen, Ps5

*Update* I just spent an hour an a half playing 3 runs. All three failed to complete. First run game crashed. Second and third run bosses didnt spawn. Loot chests explode sending hacks and guns over the edge. Back to Returnal.

I would have liked to hear more about the currency situation. I honestly can't tell if they expect you to spend real world money on everything or if you can actually unlock it through the game. I just played through the tutorial and I find game obnoxious, but the combat seems solid. I'm going to give it a shot

From what I've played, I believe the arcoins are microtransactions and can only be bought not earned. But the tickets you earn in game can buy any item in the game at a higher cost, so if you don't feel like grinding you gotta spend real money

@@BoogeymanIX Started playing this at 8pm, and I’m taking a break at 18 minutes to midnight. My two favorite types of games are FPS games and roguelike games, and I have to say I’m impressed with what they put out so far and can’t wait to see how it progresses in the future. Now I don’t know anything about the arc coins , but I noticed that for most of the cosmetics you had the choice of buying it with tickets, or with the coins. After playing for almost four hours I got quite a few legendary and epic cosmetics and I only paid with the tickets that I won in the game. So I’m satisfied.

@@gamemasternintendoo you don't have to pay for anything. They give you enough of the other currency during runs to be able to unlock a few things. Just remember, you need in game currency to unlock an item. Then, you need the same amount again to tint (dye) your item to your color of choice. You have to pay twice (game money tho. Doesn't have to be real money)

I had accumulated almost 300k tickets because I didn't realize you could use them to buy cosmetics. I though you needed tickets AND the paid currency, didn't realize it was tickets OR paid currency. Was super happy once I realized. Really nice system.

This is a good review, i play on ps4, and sadly currently the frame rate is very low, averaging 15-20 fps. Edit: The fps count is an assumption, it is very low though.

That's true, my ps4 is rather new, ive had it for about 5-6 months, but my wifi isn't connected using a cable, just 5G. However my friends have older ps4s but are connected using a LAN cable and have good internet with the same same problem. Maybe someone with the best of both worlds could confirm or deny if they have the same problem? 🤷

Mine literally isn’t working at all. After i completed the first mission you get from the girl on the second floor when i got back to the hub it was asking me to go to customization to equip something and I wasn’t able to get to there at all i closed the game reopen it and now i literally can’t do anything I can’t start a adventure run unless it’s offline i can’t customize my character or talk to any of the npcs to receive missions and i don’t know how to fix it or if there is a way to can someone let me know if there’s something I can do.

The customization is the three vending machines downstairs in the middle across from the arcadegeddon portal it’s part of tutorial on how to set yourself up the more you go through the game.

Been playing since it came out on ps plus but it gets repetitive and kinda boring I mean I don't have much fun playing matches that last like an hour each and I end up ending the run because of how long the game lasts it's a fun game and it has different bosses that can be hard to kill and the amazing movement but it just feels like they need to add something that will make players come back to play the game again.

I really enjoyed and will continue to enjoy this game. However, It crashed on me once and froze in place on me twice. The tutorial is more long winded than it should be. Melee is actually fun in this game also.

This is a pretty good review, but you might want to get better at/further into the game because you mention little enemy variety which is blatantly not true, there’s more enemies than there are guns in the later difficulties. Also if I’m brutally honest it’s not super reassuring when you see the person you trust to get an opinion on a game from rotating the camera like how my little cousin plays Fortnite.

I really like the game but I have a few issues. When coming upon weapons tell be what they are. Pistol, SMG etc. Also what does everything cost ar coins but you can't buy them. The lack of colors and customization is disappointing. There is also a balancing issue because the outlaw is the best weapon and the shotguns don't seem punchy enough. I really like the game but after 10 hours I think there should be more game modes. I think there is massive potential but it needs some work. Hopefully with the PS5 release they can add more stuff.

I genuinely don't know who the game appeals to either, kids can't play it unless their parents buy it for them so that leaves teens and adults, but the dialogue is so garbage and cringey that both groups would hate it, on top of that the colors and lights are so stupidly overdone it's insanely annoying. However, the gameplay is really fucking fun and addictive, the weapons feel great and the boss fights are really interesting.
