NIRVANA formed in 1987 and became famous in the 90's with the Troops during Operation Desert Storm when they performed a concert in Iraq. The Run Aways were talking about getting back together but Joan Jett discovered Kurt Cobain in a Night Club and helped get the band promoted.

Idk if hair metal will ever make a comeback or if it's locked in a time capsule forever but these songs invoke a certain feeling to a whole lotta people.
@Texasmilitarydepartmentvid96542 жыл бұрын
I think it will make a comeback there's a few new bands popping up and most of the forgotten 80's bands are finally starting to get recognized by us 90's kids . We grew up between both era's we had Glam/ Trash & Grunge than the New Era of Grove Metal , Black Metal , Doom Metal, NU Metal , Industrial, Alternative Rock. 80's bands were still around in the 90's and new bands like Nelson, Trixter, Tesla, Testament, Ugly Kid Joe , Freedom Call were forming .

Go look at most of the roster of Frontiers Records. Most are either classic hair metal bands putting out new music or new bands who play classic hair metal. Crazy Lixx, Chez Kane, Girish And The Chronicles, Hell In The Club, Black Swan & Shiraz Lane to name a few "new" bands on their roster. And that is not even including bands like Reckless Love & Crash Diet who are on other labels.

OK, this one took me completely by surprise! Even though I was around and listening to music back then, I wasn't following the details of musicians/singers/labels, so when this video showed up as a recommendation, I had no idea who Arcade was. When I clicked the play button, I turned away to do something else. Great riffage and thunder drums kept me listening with attention. Then came the vocals and I went, "Hmm, sounds like Stephen Pearcy." When I finally turned back to watch I go, "Hmm, that even looks like Stephen Pearcy. Why didn't the band just get Stephen Pearcy?" A minute or so later, I finally realized that is Stephen Pearcy! Doh! Now I have to find this CD. I like what a lot of bands were doing at that time. GnR were teetering on blowing up, but by then a lot of bands took the hint with their raw, full throttle sound. Good example of that is Winger with their Pull album from the same time as this song. Quite a step up for them sound-wise. Damn Yankees is another. Warrant...

I actually saw them at a club in Providence, RI baçk in 1992, and they were INCREDIBLE!!! It was such an intimate setting, that the show was magical and TOTALLY unforgettable. I was fortunate enough to spend time with them on their bus, then their hotel (well, I spent MOST of my time with Donny 😉 OH, THOSE LIPS!!) and they were the coolest bunch of guys. So down to earth and FUN. I was really surprised after seeing them, that they didn't just BLOW UP on the rock scene. The level of talent in this band is incredible, and I saw them LIVE, and they sounded just like this video. I wish they had gone further, but like a few people have already mentioned, I think it was just a matter of bad timing. They definitely deserved better appreciation than they got. I'll NEVER forget that night as long as I live! ROCK ON, GUYS!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘💋💋💋💋💋 I miss you, Donny ❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋

In RATT, there's so many vocals/production, I've never been sure what Stephen Pearcy was doing, Shouting? Singing? I could never tell, and as said, there's so many vocals on Ratt albums, everything's so layered, it was hard for me to tell if he was actually good or what was going on. I was surprised!
