So it seems these parallel universes operate under "Dark Forest Theory" AKA everyone is too scared of their neighbors and choose to hide so as to not risk destruction. Just so happens we were the dummies in this story that spoke up, and now we're getting jumped lol Super interesting so far though, thanks for continuing this and am hopeful to see more in the future!

The reason for the other universes not answering seems to share parallels with a theory as to why humanity has never gotten a transmission from sentient life in the galaxy. Every one of them is hiding from something bigger and more dangerous, so the best hope they have is to simply not respond and hope that whatever is out there does not notice them.

I was just about to bring up that I'm fairly certain this horror series is inspired by the Dark Forest Theory, introduced originally from the 3 Body Problem novels. I'm glad other people know this concept

18:59 - 19:08 as far as I could tell it's the subject talking frantically -> >[breathing heavily] >I think we have more problems >I can't remember >[panicked breathing, might be sobbing] >I can't remember my name this is just my guess because that first bit is really muffled, you can make out the "I can't remember my name" a little more clearly because they start yelling louder

you know unironically a cool plotpoint in the future could be things humans recognize from modern day fiction appearing as well from the fissures not just old mythology like fairies. like say for example a doom demon invasion being triggerd in a small town with all the horror that would be for normal people only for it to be stopped by a "violent mysterious figure in green" who vanishes back threw the fissure. it would add even more choas because it would mean not everything that exists threw the fissures is hostile to humans. and the possiblitys that humans could see the monsters of there deepest modern fears cthulu and godzilla walking threw alaska. kinda like the blood lake SCP that normally spits out monsters but one time spit out a super powerd benevolent human who they then shot.

actually certain games like Donkey Kong Country costed a lot more than 60 dollars back in the 90s. Try 79.48 for DKC or even worse 87.98 dollars and some change for Killer Instinct. Chip sets aren't cheap. So that arcadia game was bargain deal

I assume the other realities that are around either were already attacked and are dead, or haven't been attacked because they were lucky to pick up the signal and decided to not get involved. There's a lot of game theory to the Dark Forest Theory which I hope this gets into. Just because this one attacked, doesn't mean it was the original aggressor for example. It saw them waging war, then wiped them out and now it makes sure to hit everyone it can. This also makes it vulnerable from attack from others that are listening in since they know the current aggressor reality exists. But, this also protects it because it attacks other realities without the silent 3rd parties having to expose themselves. This means that if a reality ever exposes itself, and the current aggressor does not attack it, other silent realities must attack both the new reality that revealed itself and the previous aggressor. The new exposed realities must also become the new aggressors, and also attack each other as well as continue attacking new realities.
