For many years I would walk every weekend, every Bank Holiday and every day of annual holiday exclusively in Northamptonshire. When I saw the link to this video I decided to check it out. I almost overdosed on nostalgia. Not just because of the location, which I had walked many times, but because of the amazing visual similarities between your video and my still photographs. The framing of your shots is for all intents and purposes exactly the same. The only significant difference being that walking into and out of shots is Sylvie instead of my wife Joy. The enjoyment I received from watching your video is beyond my abilities to express. Thank you for such a vivid trip down memory lane.

Ahoy David. 11:04 I was there at the steps of the (then named Waterways Museum) 51 years ago. I have a photo of mum dad & I taken by my uncle when we were returning from a narrowboat holiday on the Welsh Boarder canal (as I knew it then) now more often known as the LLangollen canal. I´ve been searching online today and eventually found a photo of the museum and was able to locate it to Stoke Bruerne on the Grand Union canal where we stopped on the way back to Essex. Then i found your interesting hike over and along the towpath. Thanks, Keith.

Thank you for posting another interesting and relaxing "virtual holiday" through the English countryside, David. I wasn't able to make it over there this year because of the pandemic, but accompanying you and Sylvia on these scenic walks helps to fill that void.

Thanks David that brought back memories. We spent week on the Grand Union Canal about thirty years ago, went through Blisworth tunnel, we had to put an umbrella up in the tunnel as it drips rather a lot of water, would have got soaked otherwise. ATB .
