Jim Cornette talks to Austin Idol about his Plane Crash

According to Gary Hart in his book, he helped save Buddy Colt and Austin Idol, but was too weak to go back for Bobby Shane. The crash was so violent, it threw him from the plane and he was ass naked with no clothes from the impact; he crawled to a nearby home and banged on the door until someone saw him and called the cops for help. He carried that guilt around for years until he found out (I think from Bobby Shane's family) that the coroner said that when the plane hit the water, Bobby Shane hit his head on the inner fuselage of the plane and died on impact.

Plus it was so dark. It really was asking alot of a man to save someone else after being though such a traumatic event himself.

Actually,it was Idol who helped save Shane.He dived in 3 times. He was interviewed in wrestling magazine when he was still Mike McCord!

They crashed into the water. When you have to swim far the first thing you do is lose the clothes. They will pull you under the water

33joiner: Yep. It's amazing how many parallels there are between the two career. Now personal life wise....that's another matter. The difference is night and day.
