I hava a modest 5.2 setup that just last week I went from a Marantz 7012 to the Arcam AVR10. The sound is phenominal, my B&W 702S2 towers sound great. Also noticed while watching movies that channel separation was more noticeble with the AVR10. I have rear B&W 706S2 and they were sounding cleaner with nice tight bass. My dual pb16 ultras sounded alot better as well. All with factory settings, cant wait to hear it once its all dialed in. Gene as always great job bringing top notch content!

Armando Garcia how you doing i have Bowers Wilkinson 703s2 5.1 setup. And looking for a upgrade from my pioneer elite receiver. And this model was one of them how is it on reliability.

Gene, The one thing I must say is I'm disappointed in the lack of easy multiple subwoofer configuration. I heard with the presenter said about the upgrade availability to the full Dirac app but not that the products would be able to be configured for multiple subs. We all know there are only so many connections on the rear and signal channels buit into the AV. It's time these manufacturers start to recognize that most people doing HT today are using more than one sub, even the 2 channel guys are going that way. It's the only way to get smooth bass response in just about any room. Thanks for your hard work, Sal1950

Sal, the Arcam processors do allow multi-sub hookups with independent delay and trim levels. I will try to confirm how many are able to connect but the AudioControl versions can hook up at least 2 subs as far as I know.

I asked Arcam and they said that the AV40 would support up to four discrete subs.

Albert Huron and as you might have figured out that carries over to other models as well. “On the AVR20, AVR30 & AV40 there are potentially up to 4 discrete subwoofer outputs.”

I have owned 2014 Arcam 380 but need to upgrade because I want to purchase 4K tv. I am a 5.1 system and that is sufficient for the room.I’m also driving a Bryson 4cubed amplifier. What is the best next upgrade and value upgrade to improve this situation.

I'm thinking of doing 3.1 surround what would you think is the best sound system to go with that baby use down the road dual amplifiers my room will be in the basement rectangle shape any ideas on a good amplifier in between $500 and $1,000 that doesn't have all the bells and whistles like Bluetooth

Not a single balanced pre out on those multi thousand "hi end" products? Especially sad the processor lacks them, most competitors seems to have at least for the front channels.. Running 15m to the front, parallell to some surround cables and projector mains makes this a must (single cable channel to keep wife. Period). Monoprice HPT-1, Outlaw 976 or the Anthem one seems to fit my context better..

All of these processors in this video have XLR outputs for ALL channels. Only the receivers have unbalanced outs like more receivers do.

Thanks Gene...Great.. Unfortunatrly for the Dirac set up my PC is far off to the listening area + to the Dirac device .. You mentioned the mic must be connected to the PC.. I would so need a USB active extender cable connecting the PC to the Mic for measurement in the listening area. Don't think this works for distances up to 45 feet?

they just can’t be charging the consumer nearly 5k for 16 channel AURA 3D ACCESS. When we can get 11 to 16 channel aura 3D and other codecs at $1500 or less, the markets will explode.

You can talk about how good a 2.1 system is all you want but you can not compare that to a surround system with dolby atmos. You can't get that with 2 channel setup's. Even a cheap surround system sounds decent, not so with 2.1.

Yes thats for the SA-20. I currwntly own it and love it. Dont let the size fool you. This things weighs alot. I thought it was stuck to the table when I tried to pick it up. Sounds great. Cant imagine anything souding better for the money or even more in some cases.
