Not just that. Arcane is one of the best shows on the planet, and the amount of love and effort that has gone into it is unmatched. So, a 3 year wait for Season 2, while painful, isn't unbearable. Besides, the release date is just a few months away. We can wait. We want to wait. We want to respect the creators. Compare that to GTA VI which was complete radio silence for 11 years... And is still not releasing for 1.5 more years... Fans are hungry for leaks, because except for Trailer 1, nothing, absolutely nothing is known. THAT MUCH information drought is not humanly feasible.

I honestly think it's just better for people to wait. Arcane is a show that ends almost every episode on a cliffhanger. So waiting for the remaning 4 episodes for almost 4 months will be agonizing. I actually feel sorry for the guys who watched it. EDIT: I inevitably walked into a screenshot of it and the quality is unbelievably bad and 90% of the screen is filled with watermarks. So yeah... If someone accidentally says something major in a film or anime I want to watch and "Spoils" it that way, I could care less because I was going to watch it anyways and I'd rather them gush about their favorite things in it and nerd out. If someone rips an entire series before the creators and animators even release the first episode to the public and then put it up for the world to see, that's a serious dick move and should be punished heavily. Hell I'd go so far that anyone who steals (Yes this is stealing) even one episode that shouldn't be out before its release date and releases it should be rebuked and punished.

I think the reason why the LoL community is aligned in avoiding the leaks is because Riot did an AMAZING job building up Arcane S1. The teasers, the music video, Worlds finals opening ceremony all lead up to Arcane. IMO people are expecting something similar this year as well and are looking forward for the full experience.

Well said. It's not like leaking skins or something like that... they're just cosmetics. But the point of waiting on an entire show to be finished is so the writers, animators, and editors can be absolutely *sure* they are delivering a quality EXPERIENCE for everyone. Waiting is part of the experience. Not entirely related to Arcane, but back when Gravity Falls was still ongoing, I remember watching people throw huge tantrums online because the episodes "took too long" to come out. I believe it started as a semi-weekly show, but by season 2 it had become monthly. Personally I enjoyed the wait. I had other things going on in my life. But man, seeing people get upset because their favorite show wasn't released "fast enough" made me so angry. A wait does not detract from the quality of things that take time to create. When the last episode took two months to come out, people were going ballistic. It was nuts. I thought the wait was appropriate for the scale of the ending. Gravity Falls would not have been as good as it was if it weren't for the TIME put into it. Then you get cartoons like Steven Universe, which had a good concept but was executed terribly. 5 seasons of what was mostly filler and a handful of cringey song lyrics. Don't even get me started on how terrible the new series is. I like an original concept that brings a touch of diversity, but it could've been written and produced way better. The fact that the show was primarily weekly with random, massive breaks between episodes (before they dropped 5 or 6 episodes at a time), just proved how little time anyone had to get anything done. And the animation was just terrible sometimes. Circling back to my point about Arcane: To put it shortly, the best series take time to complete. Weekly shows often suffer from poor writing because of the lack of time and preparation. That's why Arcane was so good; it took *several* years for just the first season, and thank goodness it did; some of the first looks at Fortiche's animation style weren't the greatest. They were given time to improve, and they did improve by a long shot. Arcane isn't something you can sh*t out in a matter of days. Like wine, it needs time to be perfected.

I don't think it necessary to ruin it or people. I downloaded the episodes and ran them all through an AI to increase resolution. The first jump to 4k was a little wonky so I did a 2k upscale and then a 4k upscale and that looked way better. The fact other people don't want to do that is their choice as my choices are mine. I can't stop people from ruining the game industry by supporting Blizzard, Squeenix, EA, CDPR, and all the other trash triple A companies, no reason to believe what I'm doing here is going to hurt any 'artists'. It seems like industries do fine and have plenty of idiots to support them regardless of my choices. Look at voting. Trump and Biden? That's what was on the table as our two best. The intellect of the average person is trailer trash, aka Pam from Stardew Valley. Lots of people are perfectly fine with being Pam. Regardless of your choices people are going to be stupid. Trying to fight stupid will never produce productive results. Stupid is a slime mold, with basic intellect and a will to survive the harshest environments. It creeps around every obstacle, stubbornly finding it's way in the world.

I was working for a localization company like ten years ago. A lot of companies were providing low quality, low resolution or even partially blurred footage with intentional artifacts so we were able to create new audio tracks while they were not providing their videos in full quality. (NON-SPOILER for those interested what those leaks looked like without giving anything away about the story.) Skimmed thru the leaks. Only up to EP 3 was fully rendered, the rest of the episodes were basically edited as the full episodes but contained only mesh renders, overlays, and storyboards. So up to you if y'all think it's worth it to watch them.

I'm - personally - a bit different around spoilers than most. I don't mind knowing what to expect a bit (general plot points, a scene or two out of context), because that's not what makes a series worth watching to me. What matters is how that's incorporated into the larger picture, what the writing conveys with it and the message the overall story brings. Obviously, ruining the surprise for other people is a scummy thing to do, especially without warning. But I don't know; knowing certain characters will get a VGU but still not knowing what that look will be, how that story changes or what that means about characterisation and messaging? That's the parts that I want to savour and enjoy anyway, so it doesn't really ruin it for me.

Only part of the footage is patato quality, of the 5 ep that leak the first 3 seems basically finished, whereas the last 2 look like the first season of Star Wars The Clone Wars. Also the Re:Zero leak doesn't seem to be linked to Netflix, apparently it's more likely to be from Japan Expo, a big anime convention in France, where it was supposed to be shown.

I just watched the 5 episodes that are available. No spoilers, I just want to mention at what point the development is by estimation taking into account that I am not a professional in animation. Just from what I saw . First 3 episodes its 95% done, episode 4 and 5 when it is about sound it's like 90% done, about image it's 30% done. Overall, from what I saw, I liked it, a lot.
