That old man with a face wrap is the scientist with the cute lizard from the first season that taught Viktor for a bunch of years. He also created shimmer and saved Jinx after her fight with Ekko. His face was burned during Vander's big fight last season in episode 3. His end goal is unknown at this point, but he is a dangerous man.

You are in for one hell of a second Season!!!! You are not ready!!!! p.s. the guy in the final credit scene who was tracking down the two-headed wolf is Singed. You'll remember him from Season 1 as Silco's personal scientist, the man who created Shimmer. Also, Singed is going to be a LOT more important in Season 2 ... he spent the whole first season as a nameless side character ... but that's about to change.
