I don’t the think it was about breaking the record, it was probably more to do with ‘killing off’ her younger self, someone who was always seen as a hindrance. So, in a way, it was supposed to be cathartic, but still showed how much she has to learn.

arcane gives you a whole different perspective of who jinx is. When she was released i thought she was a generic crazy archetype character but the show give so much depth and lore behind her character.

What jinx is experiencing is something that was developed over the years of trauma and such. She still feels regret, pain, etc. It makes it even worse for her because she was never a bad person in the beginning. She turned out dangerous because of the world around her and trauma.

To be fair, riot doesnt do these animations. Pretty much all of the cinematics are outsourced to a bunch of studios across the globe. This one in particular was done by Fortiche productions. Just wanna put their name out there cuz they deserve some love!
