To be able to learn that the show wasn't just some magical lightning strike of getting it immediately right, that it was a huge struggle, stressful, multi-years battle to get it done and do it absolutely perfectly cements every award they won as absolutely earned. There was nothing about the making of Arcane that was luck, unless you count bad luck :D

Haha that is so true! To see how they kept on fighting for this show, how many people have helped bring this to life was so beautiful to see! They worked their butts off and kept the faith - as you must when it's a project you believe in!

totally disagree about the luck part. There are countless cases of very skilled people giving it their all but not achieving something this perfect. Arcane is a small miracle.

Absolutely agreed!! Sometimes it matters more to get something right instead of just rushing it for release. And you can see the difference it made for this show!

True however sometimes caring and loving and giving your best sometimes isn't enough, and you need to have a little bit of luck as well and something in the universe has to align to make something this majestic and memorable. And luckily for them it happened. The 1st luck they had was the fact that somebody was reasonable and said in the very beginning you don't have the story. Imagine what would have happened if they said oh yes everything is great right away.

Wow guys, didn`t know that you are writers. I really like bringing the Rift and glad that you`ve decided to watch it:) The best thing for me about this series was getting to know Christian Linke. I respect him so much, he is so talented and pationate. Very inspirational how musician who performed in pretty unfamous german rock band, decided to move from Germany to LA to work on video games and ended up as great animation showrunner. And he is still very young. I hope that we`ll see many other masterpieces created by Christian.

Christian really becomes my personal hero throughout this series... and I don't have many of those. I really hope that he doesn't implode over the years, because I can see Arcane happening for many many seasons.

I can relate to this a lot as well because I'm making a game and at times it is so overwhelming I just stop completely for a few days before I can move on again.

We hella feel that! Sometimes we get creative fatigue whilst working on our projects because it just takes so much out of you. Sometimes you just need to step back, take a break and get back into it. It's okay to pause before continuing the work🙂

This show is a masterpiece, creators, writers and animators truly care about the story and characters. The bad thing is that now it's hard to find another show with such quality.

They go in-depth into the music and the sound design in later episodes. If you haven't seen the Fortiche music videos for League of Legends (Get Jinxed, Rise, K/DA Pop-Stars), they're really worth watching. The last two were, as mentioned in this episode, done during the production of Arcane and so have that distinctive style. Get Jinxed is much older and has sort of a more primitive version of the style, but it's really interesting to see a version of Jinx and Piltover from 9 years ago and how much they've preserved in the Arcane version from way back then.

I'm curious whether you guys have any copyright issues with (Bridging the rift) this series? The reason I ask is because I always tell reactors that they don't need to worry about copyright when reacting to this. Am I correct?

Thanks for asking! Honestly thus far we have not had any issues, but just to be safe we've been editing our content as if there would be!

I also find it so impressive how much Linke was doing with the music team WHILE fighting for this show. He was working so hard to get this to work but he was also knocking out banger tracks with the music team the whole time. I could never, I do not have the energy for that.

0:30 Herve "so it's 2017" + 5:11 like a music video" I was like yooooo, wait a minute, I totally remember that story, the big block year which gave us 2 best songs ever, the year later being Rise and Popstars. Legit question, have you guys seen the KD/A Popstars video or Worlds 2018 Rise video? Absolutely banger songs. Also interesting though, 2018 was held in South Korea, and is still considered one of the best years, and guess what, Worlds 2023 is being held once again in South Korea. I'm having a BIG THINK here. Also would recommend watching the FULL Worlds 2021 Opening Ceremony it has ARCANE stuff in it. Also don't worry about the music, it should be copyright free, so that you don't have to cut.

Saw every episode of Goof Troop, Gargoyles, and Aladdin and always hoped for more. Disney really needed to allow creative control and let them work. Nice to see an animator still going.

We feel that. Honestly, sometimes it's better to stick to smaller companies in order to retain creative control - when you start dealing with the big ones, you see how the story ends up getting adjusted to fit their criteria, which is not always the best for the story!
