If u didn’t realize the reason Jinx puts her monkey with symbols in the beginning and through out the music video the monkey keeps banging the symbols is because Jinx can’t sleep with no noice and that’s why she woke up after the monkey stopped

Get Jinxed came out in 2013, so it preceded Arcane by about 8 years. It was done by the same studio as the one that did Arcane though ^^; It's basically Jinx' her fever dream haha Her Monkey Bomb is just one of her abilities in the game ^^ Enemy did come out the same time as Arcane, as it was written specifically for Arcane. If you like League of Legends music videos, can HIGHLY recommend K/DA, they're a K-Pop band made with Akali, Ahri, Evelynn and Kai'Sa. In the last song they did Seraphine also joined. They did POP/STARS, The Baddest and More.

The song 'Get Jinxed' is in Arcane. It plays briefly when Jinx is reading up on the Hextech Gemstone after she steals it. Silco comes in angry and yelling, but her song drowns him out lol. Jinx' mental state was never in a really good place after her parents died. Her innocence had began being stripped away after that, with Vi's opinion of her being her lifeline. That's why the finale is so tragic. She feels completely alone and realized she could only rely on herself. Fun fact: Jinx' mind has always been wired a bit different. In intense situations, her mind works faster, making everything seem like it's moving in slow motion. This is shown in the street brawl right after their theft of Jayce's stuff. After she grows up, and she gets juiced up, her body is finally able to keep up with her mind. Being left alone with your mind can do some funny things, so the music video of her being older is just her "happy thoughts"...

Get Jinxed has a few firsts in Riot's history - It is the first music video that was produced exclusively for a champion. It was also the first collaboration between Riot and Fortiche. Jinx may be insane but she has always been popular and a fan favorite even from way before arcane. If they kill her off in season 2, there would be Riots everywhere 😄

If you notice in the Enemy music video when Vi is demonstrating fighting moves Decard is sitting with the others watching also the device Ekko and Powder ride wile flipping off the cops is outside Benzos shop in episode one when Ekko covered for Claggor when the enforcers come to the undercity (Just some Easter eggs I thought were worth mentioning)

The pink eyes were also in arcane. You see it extremely clearly at the "dinner party" when she knocks out Caitlyn. The pink eyes are a side-effect of the shimmer-treatment she got.

Sorry I wasn't clear when I linked the Get Jinxed video. This was the video that introduced Jinx to League of Legends. At the end of Arcane, Jinx has the red eyes due to the shimmer that was injected into her. And we had a really bad storm here in North Texas and I was without power from Sunday night to this morning, so almost 36 hours.

Two easy to miss things in the Enemy music video. You mention Powder turning into Jinx when she does her hand gun shot at the enforcers. There is a similar one or two frame quick change earlier in the video as well. When Powder opens her mouth and the big comes out, for a spilt second she other her eyes and she is Jinx. The other item is closer to the end. When the animation is cycling through the different aged portraits of Powder/Jinx, the shadow behind them is actually of the next portrait in the series. You can notice this if you focus on the hair of the shadows.

It's nice how the whole Enemy music video also tells a story, which Powder reminisces at the bar. Powder playing with Ekko and seeing him flipping off the enforcers from his bike made her do the finger shoot later - and that got them into trouble, which made Vi angry and almost lose control. It seems Vi also got a little too rough with her sister during the pillow fights from time to time … Also they met up with Silco's future goons for fighting practice, but that turned sour soon. Also the one sitting in the back looks like Rennie's kid (however, he should not be that age at that time), and the woman that tried to extort Huck, but without hair. Maybe there were some design changes after the video was released?

She is more a Joker than Harley Quinn, mostly because she was inspired by the Joker...and Gollum AND the glorious Helena Bonham Carter :D The Robots are Policerobots afaik, Piltover started to use Robots in the Policeforce. Also the production of Arcane started around 2015, short after Jinx was released. Guess they kept something in the mist about her on purpose

At the start of the song we see Jinx turn on her monkey, and at the end we see her waking up as the monkey shuts off. I think it implies that Jinx needs noise to fall asleep, and that’s what she uses the monkey for.

Not sure what is on your "list" but "Warriors" (the one with 130m views) shows Vi and Caitlyn teaming up (Pre-Arcane). "You really got me" (the one with 66m views) has a lot of Jinx in it (Pre-Arcane) and it's fun, not sad. We see Jinx having some friends, which is nice. Keep in mind that any of these Cinematics or music videos you might watch were all made in the years before Arcane came out.

THEY did not gave her a story ...but their story expands as they are released....eg jinx released in 2013 so they have some story from their..and in secret they expand story...( Not all secrets...some comes out as novels lore etc)

Interesting that Spartan liked the LOL version of Jinx better. I remember being shown the video when it came out, and dismissing it as a knock-off Harley Quinn (nobody* had really heard of before Suicide Squad 2016, remember). Another youtuber, maybe Schnee, pointed out how Arcane had rescued Jinx from being the Manic Pixie Dream Girl she had been, taking the comic book-y "I put the HOT in Psychotic!" style into a more realistic, harrowing look at a troubled girl with very poor mental health. Hardly surprising that Spartan prefers the Get Jinxed version - she's made to be good to look at, even with 9 year old graphics. At least she's happy there. Not doing either version down, though, Fortiche did a great job of showing a videogame character you'd like to play in about 3 minutes, and if you're playing a MOBA you're probably more interested in having fun than examining a broken girl's trauma. Arcane's Jinx was designed to be more realistic and unattractive (for Arcane) with chalky skin, greasy unkempt hair and unsettling mental issues. Enemy seems to me to tell a little story of the time just before Arcane. Powder is in The Last Drop, and she's playing out what just happened. We see some scenes of Vi, Ekko and Powder, Mylo and Claggor and some other local kids (looks like the gang they fight from episode 1, not sure if they grew up together or they just had the models spare to use) Vi and the gang hang out at the market that caged creature and the food stall, the young 'uns playing around and Vi keeping a scowling look-out for trouble. Ekko and Powder buzz the Enforcers on Ekko's wheelie thing. Later, we see Mylo getting beaten up by some of the other Undercity kids (the kids they fight in episode 1) the Enforcers see the fight, and recognise Powder from earlier. Vi and Powder are arrested (shoved against that chain-link fence) as the enforcers want to push around the kid they saw cheeking them, but they let them go. Vi tells off Powder for getting them in trouble, a shouting match in their bedroom, and Vi storms off, leaving Powder to slink upstairs to Vander's bar and cry. I'd like to think that the band comfort her, and what we see at the start of the video is actually at the end, Vi comes back to apologise for losing her temper, which is what we see at the start, with Powder crying on her shoulder. Vi came back for Powder, this time. That's how I see it anyway.

Get Jinxed was the first music video Riot made. It was made just to introduce "Jinx: the Loose Cannon" as a new playable champion for League of Legends. The creators said they took heavy influence from Joker and Harley Quinn for Jinx' character design. Arcane Jinx is much different and more fleshed out than the original character design.

just catching up on your league reactions but just want to say these as someone who has been a long time league fan. i was one of the few that when arcane was announced, we were excited, mostly because we already know how vast the lore of league is and how amazing their music and animation is (we even jokingly call riot, the creator of league, as an animation/music company) get jinxed is one of the og's and one of the most popular video riot has released, like if we talk about songs, music video or animation, this will never not be brought up. fun fact it was made by fortiche, same studio who worked on arcane. enemy is like a teaser, and honestly for us long time fans, it is very much spoiler free. i think many of us have been fooled by the mv and even just the trailers. like many of us honestly thought claggor and mylo will be jace and viktor or that mylo will be silco XD

I think it would be cool for you guys to watch more league videos. Legends of Runeterra vids are like short stories about various places in the league universe. There is one for Piltover (the top side). Also if you watch the Warriors cinematic, you get to see some great action scenes and catch a glimpse of a Vi and Caitlyn as full adults. Really good videos. I didn't see anyone else mention it, so.. In Enemy, when you see the person getting the crap beat out of him while Powder watches in the distance? That person is Mylo. It's hard to make out with the way he's covered there, but if you pay attention, the clothes match and everything. One of the reasons Mylo might have been unhappy with Powder in the show is cause she watched him get the crap beaten out of him while doing nothing to help. 🤷‍♂

Theres a lot of League contrent Id suggest you react to if youre into that kind of thing. There are like the seasonal songs, that are in full animation and feature usually several short cannon lore stories from the game, the Worlds official songs which are more on the "motivational" side and feature some real players in the clips. The opening ceremonies from worlds are also spectacular to look upon and feature live singing on stage alongside augmented virtual reality, and then there are like animations that feature stories from the game or trailers, like the whole Ruination event that spans multiple videos, or Annies orgin and Amumus srory (both very emotional and highly recommended), or the Star guardian trilogy that features characters in alternate universe Sailor Moon inspired (my absolute favorites in regards to how they look visually). Lastly obviously the "easiest" to recommend would be K/DA music videos but thats more for the music itself than the visuals IMO

So, the Get Jinxed video came out in 2013 and really was RIOT games first "dip of the toe" into music videos. The video coincided with the creation of the Jinx character. Harley Quinn was very popular at this time and Jinx was obviously a thinly veiled copy. The backstory of Jinx, unknown until Arcane was released, makes her a much better character - as we now know why Jinx is the way she is.

You cracked me up laughing when Spartan said not his type of music when he was referring to the theme song Pudgey eyes grew wide with shock LOL Woman you don't know your man's taste in music LOL I had suggested for people to check out Enemy before episode 7 to give that fight scene more impact between Ekko and Powder. It's strange if you notice Ekko and Powder didn't share scenes together in the shoe but on the video, they are around each other a lot.

Arcane can initiate in a story like "the smurfs" or "the lord of the rings" even "pirares of the caribean" all that styles or sometingh like a Lovecraft story but Riot begun Arcane with the tales of Piltover and Zaun and the sister, wath that chose? But Jinx is not the only in this show, Vi, Viktor, Caitlyn, Jayce even Silco( this man his a new character in the games because dosn't exist in the original story) have a huge fanbase for all.

Get Jinxed was released to announce Jinx as the new champions in 2014. She also obviously is younger in Arcane, all characters are, because Arcane is the past, an origin story, so the current timeline, they all are already adults, except Ekko who is the youngest.

The main reason people wanted you to see "Enemy" video is because it shows a little bit more about the closeness between Powder and Ekko, which isn't shown much in Arcane. We see a lot of Ekko and Jinx horsing around together during the rap section.
