Arcane fans react to League Of Legends 2024 Season Cinematic - THEY DID IT!!

the hero fighting kindred in the snowy fields is Tryndamere, and his eyes go red because in the game his ultimate ability is a bloodfrenzied fury (in the lore they let it be understood as some kind of infection from Aatrox's blood magic), which makes him literally unkillable for a short amount of seconds, making him the only human capable of fending off death, therefore the only human who can survive a direct encounter with kindred.

That maybe so but that is not what's happening in this cinematic. He isn't actually fighting kindred in real life. It's more of a metaphor of him refusing to die which is why he's fighting kindred a.k.a death in his mind. That's why at the end kindred disappeared when ash came because he knew he was not going to die so then there would be no reason to fight death now that he knew that he was going to survive.

​@@darkknight1242 Yeah it could, and there are going to be theories but I believe he is fighting Kindred for real, at the same time its is the other warriors that are trying to kill him, the best proof of evidence is the shoulder armor that Trinda is wearing, it has scars from Wolf's atack, clearly those were not made by blades and they were not there at the beginning.

The absolute reverence and honour theyve given Kindred in this cinematic is still blowing me away, its clear that Riots lore team holds them in really high regard and I’m so glad their final full cinematic debut was so well received. Now to go feed in the jungle playing Kindred 😅

For those who need context: -This whole cinematic is about Kindred. They are the aspect of death. If you accept death, Lamb (the pale one) gives you a swift release with her arrow. If you avoid it, Wolf (the dark one) will hunt you down and make it more painful -The first scene is in the past somewhere around Damacia. Where the two patron sisters fight Aatrox the darkin. Darkin are akin to demon, they possess an host. In the current lore the sisters do not talk anymore because of their vastly different view on justice. Kindred is always present for a death. So when Kayle (the blonde one) burns it all down. Killing the host of Aatrox, the shape can be seen in the flame -The second is a possible future where Noxus successfully invaded Idonia. Yasuo is trying to save a few people and then dies. You can see wolf eyes in the treeline and Lamb arrow finish him off. You can see he accepts his faith because he looks up for a fraction of a second (Noticing Lamb's arrow) and makes sure to finish off the last guy before kneeling. -The last if Tryndamere in the present state of the lore. He has some of Aatrox blood and a rage so great every time he comes close to dying he pushes it away. Hence why he is fighting Kindred, fighting death. His wife Ashes comes to save him at the end but lamb will come back eventually. -The "I'm still here" is not so much the heroes it is Kindred themselves because death is inevitable.

Thanks so much for this breakdown! It's nice to have all the info in one place and I'm sure others will appreciate it as well! I remember from when we reacted to the Kindred voicelines, the concept of meeting Wolf or Lamb depending on your acceptance of the end or not. On the first watch-through I noticed something in the flames but couldn't place it, on a 2nd watch-through I put the pieces together. I also totally misplaced Kindred's arrow at the end of Yasuo's scene thinking it was the lead in to the Tryndamere/Ashe story. Makes so much more sense that it was Kindred's arrow. Overall such a beautiful theme woven throughout each story. Thanks again for your comment!

No it isn't that's just your assumption of it. You see aatrox never died in the lore he was just imprisoned in his weapon just like the rest of the darkin. 2nd, it hasn't been confirmed that the old man is actually yasuo. I've heard people saying that it could be his father or even his teacher among others. It doesn't make any sense for yasuo to be this old yet. The last we seen or heard of him was that he was going to noxious after the event of the ruination. So unless this is yasuo in the future then it wouldn't make any sense for yasuo to be this old in the lore. Not to mention that there is no way he would be able to block an arrow from kindred no matter how strong or powerful he is. He's still a mortal after all and can't escape death. Al's for tryndamere, it was all in his mind. He wasn't actually fighting kindred in real life. It was a metaphor for him not wanting to die which is why he's fighting kindred in his mind because he didn't want to die yet which is also why kindred disappeared when ash came because he knew at that point that he was going to survive and not die.

my favorite part of kindred in that last fight is how Lamb moves. It isn't her hunting. She is standing there, visible to Tryndamere the entire time. Watching him, firing arrows at him, giving him chances to embrace death and let her win... all the while Wolf attacks are relentless, constant, every time he turns to face Lamb, Wolf lunges and attacks, only for Lamb to offer release. This is perfect, I love it. it isn't at all how Kindred plays in game, but it helps expand how kindred acts in the lore. They appear before people about to die, and essentially battle them. Death is comming, it is inevitabe. When you see the kindred- you are going to die. It's just your choice on how you go.

It was past with Kayle in Morgana fighting Aatrox in ancient Demacia, future with old Yasuo deciding to die after seeing Kindred coming for him and present with Tryndamere who is corrupted by Aatrox blood magic and can't die, that's why he was able to fight Kindred and in the end he was saved by his wife Ashe.

The fidelity with the lore in this cinematic was accurate af. If you pay attention, Kindred (which is like "Death" in LOL universe) can be seen in every "conclusion". After Aatrox "death"; Before the (kindred) arrow hits Yasuo that accepts thats his time to die; And finally Trynda just refusing to die and Kindred understanding that. Best cinematic ever.

That little tilt that Lamb did was because she couldn't understand why she can't take Tryndamere. And why trynda could physically fight back. He was fighting soldiers that were trying to kill him, but at the same time was seeing Kindred and Wolf trying to take him to the afterlife, but he is in his fury state ( ultimate ) which basically lets him fight off death. At the end Lamb understood they will not take him, cause Ashe came in and saved him from the 2 soldiers behind him. :)

I doubt that she didn't understand WHY they couldn't take him, since this wasn't their first time meeting Tryndamere. I interpreted it more like a "Why do you still resist death? What could you possibly feel that allows you to push yourself this far?", and Lamb being genuinely curious about it.

guys, this whole trailer is death (kindred) related u can see kindred trough multiple shots, that arrow that flies at yasuo at the end is kindred arrow not ashe arrow, u can see wolf in the trees and then the arrow comes.. also in the first scene where tryndamere (he is the guy u didnt know if its champion or not, the guy that has undying rage ultimate, basically undying guy is fighting death/kindred) is on the floor he sees kindred trough haze coming for him :)

Yes!! Thank you! After a 2nd watch through I definitely picked up on a few extra things like Kindred's shadow in the flames transition from Morgana/Kayle's story to Yasuo's story. There is also a moment where you see the acceptance from Yasuo like he see's Kindred right before that last wind swipe. ALSO that Tryndamere is greeted mostly with Wolf because he's fighting death instead of accepting it (I remember this concept from the Kindred voicelines we listened to). Such a epically beautiful tale woven throughout each story! Also thanks for letting us know it was Tryndamere as well! We haven't read much about him so no wonder we didn't recognize him!

I get chills every time I see how Trindamir's eyes turn back to normal immediately when he sees Ash. She is his beloved wife and his tribe's queen (warmother) he has sworn his life and loyalty to. When she comes, death has to leave him be and he instantly gets out of his "berserk-like" war mode (even though in classic barbarian situation getting calm down is really hard and takes time). I just love how their relationships' dynamic is clearly shown in just a couple of seconds and without 1 single word.

I love how Tryndamere's fight against Kindred is represented. While in his ultimate, he is literally fighting off death. He should die here, and They know it. The battle around him fades away, and in place of his enemies he sees the Kindred. Every time he clashes with Wolf he is shrugging off blows from his enemies, and he feels the pain through The Wolf's teeth. Every time he swats away Lamb's arrow is him denying a moment where he could just lie down and pass gently, and he sees the choice in the Lamb's arrow. As Ashe's arrows come over Kindred's shoulders to save Tryndamere from the two enemies about to strike him you can see Wolf's jaws start to close around Tryndamere. As she approaches, the time where he would die has passed, and Kindred vanishes. Because it is no longer his time. His power isn't just "Not Dying". He is a TOUGH man, but at his core he is as mortal as anyone else. His true power is awareness of death. He can See them. He can Fight them. Its poetic.

in reality, everything is a little different. Kinred do not come for 1 person together, either the wolf tears apart the victim, or the lamb's arrow kills it. BUT Tryndamere is not afraid to die - that means he is the lamb's target, but he resists death - that means he is the wolf's target. an important moment of the battle - the Kinred do not attack Tryndamere together, the wolf rushes at him after Tryndamere deflects the arrow, and the lamb shoots only after Tryndamere has fought off the wolf. They fight together against Tryndamere - but not at the same time. This reflects their essence - while Tryndamere is not fighting, the lamb tries to kill him quickly, and after failure the wolf immediately rushes to "catch up" with Tryndamere, who has escaped a quick death.

The thing with Kindred is that, based on their voicelines: -Lamb looks humanoid, but she does not have feelings; (she asks Wolf how sadness feels and he says "A long hunt with no pray") -Wolf looks like a spectral wolf, but he knows how to feel. (and can explain in a way that Lamb could understand) And personally, it's probably one of the coolest things about them.

One more info .. Tryndamere vs kindred.. That fight was actually happening in Try's mind.. If you look the begining of the cinematic.. There were 8 enemies around him.. But at last, Ashe killed just 2 enemies behind him and after than, we saw all 8 enemies are already dead.. That means Tryndamere was actually fighting that 8 enemies. He killed 6 enemies...But he saw himself fighting Kindred because he was close to death

1:03 - That frame is just awesome. Seeing 2 people in love with something and highly anticipating what they're about to see. It's clear you both love this game and I've yet to continue the video beyond this point, but I strongly believe you'll both be blown away by this cinematic. I think it's my new favourite now. The song is too addicting & sticks in my head, and now they play it on the radio at work... I can't seem to avoid it lol Edit: love your reaction. Slight correction. We're fans of the world. League is trash though. Lmao. Wouldnt touch it with a 900 foot pole. The mmo though? Now were intruiged. This whole cinematic is top tier though. Im a videographer irl and so theres a lot of the actual cinematography that I'm a fan of beside liking the characters and lore and all that. The mic weve addressed before. And its not the issue lmao. Im a little tired of addressing it again and again. Its that we need a 2nd mic because i run mine through adobe audition and its setup very specifically to my voice at very close distances and my filters just react different to our voices and vol fluctuations. You may notice we don't wear a headset. This means we need to speak above what we hear in the room. Long story short. Its not the mic..which is a shure sm7b. Its the setup. @@donmowatt Ah, sorry dude. Didn't mean to offend about the mic issue. I'm not aware of what goes into a setup, just knew something didn't function or feel 100% right. I wouldn't recommend league to anyone. I played it for over a decade, but drop the game recently. The community is just too toxic. Mmo's take over half a decade to make, so could be a while before we see it, but i checked out some other videos and it looks promising. I think we might be pleasantly surprised when it comes out. It's the only MMO I feel has a chance vs WoW. Take care & hope to see more reaction content in the future :)

I read this comment on another video about this and it sums up this video really well: This entire video is about Kindred actually. That’s why you hear her voice at the start. In the first scene right after Aatrox gets annihilated by Kayle, you can see Kindreds silhouette. In the second scene Yasuo is old and it’s assumed he’s about to die, he closes his eyes as Kindreds arrow comes down and accepts his death. In the last scene Tryndamere is about to die and simply doesn’t because of his undying rage, he is quite literally fighting off death which is why it depicts him fighting Kindred, whom you can see for a brief moment even shows slight confusion as to why Tryndamere is able to fight back and isn’t accepting his faith. It’s clear at the end that Ashe saves him from dying and that’s why Kindred is no longer there. Beautifully done in my opinion

context: "death in the past, future, and present" 1. Kayle, Morgana vs Aatrox, takes place in the past (before Demacia became Demacia as it is now). and this was the beginning of the two sisters' conflict and separation. It's possible that Aatrox lost/his first host died. 2. Yasuo's "possibility" in the future (lore skin: foreseen Yasuo). Old Yasuo in the final battle (Ionia in civil war or invaded by Noxus; again?). Yasuo received his death with Kindred's arrow. 3. Tryndamere fights until his last breath, using his ultimate ability "undying rage" against his enemies, which makes him immortal for a while. but in his perspective...he fought against death/kindred, before finally being saved by his wife Ashe. cmiiw

Kindred stopped shooting, kindred saw his future that he'll live "again" and avoided death again. Also, kayle is an angel, but the irony is that she's full of pride cause she has her mother's power more unlike morgana(look at their wings) . Morgana is a loving angel, she accepted her fathers power more than her mother gaining the title "bound" as aatrox taunt her "bounded from earth" and that's the reason why kayle looked at her disgustingly.

I think that this could be all the times that the champions had a near death experience, Tryndamere fighting kindred in his undying rage then Ashe pulling him back from the brink. When Morg and Kayle were fighting Aatrox, if morg hadn't fallen then they could have died but that Aatrox vessel died instead. And the arrow with the wolf's eyes below it shooting at Yasuo. Like That was all awesome and I love the concept.

The whole theme is "StillHere", referencing Kindred who is Death Incarnate. Whether it's the Past (Morgana &Kayle), Present (Tryndamere), and Future (OldMan Yasuo). Death is "Still Here" no matter whattime it is. You can see Kindred in the Fires of the Past destroying Aatrox, Facing Tryndamere, and Shooting a Fatal Arrow at Old Man Yasuo in the head. Yasuo saw a vision made by kindred apparently that shows this scene.

Just some interesting facts, Yasou is NOT killing anyone in his sequence as he stopped using his Wind technique as it only brought pain in the past. Why, just before he picks up the foot soldiers sword, if you look closely, his facial expression is that along the lines of "No.... I dont want to, but I have to", basically he 'sighed' with its instant remorse he feels for having to fight and once again, use this technique. This is why no one dies and even the 'boss', he pushes away with this his stacked Tempest to save him from the barrage of arrows. Lastly, the arrow that comes, this is in fact two things, it's an archers' arrow that is manifested as Lamb's arrow, indicating Yasou is done fighting and accepts his death (why he doesn't Windwall again) and thats why the Wolf eyes remain in the treeline. The other meaning is that Lamb's arrow has no arrowhead etc, whereas this arrow, is clearly Ashe's arrow which leads into the next scene. If you look closely as the arrow comes in, and just before the snowflake comes towards us, you see a circular burst outward, so this is also an indicator on how Ashe found Trynd, thus her arriving at the end to 'save' him by changing his fate and therefore Death disappearing as she enters the shot. Also, if you noticed, Lamb fires two arrows only at him. This is Lamb's way of offering a peaceful end for Trynd who obviously won't accept fate and thus fights the Wolf. Only reason this ended is because he was no longer on deaths door thanks to his wife firing her two arrows into the soldiers behind him, breaking this 'hallucination' he was fighting but in fact, was fighting the foot soldiers (same manifestation as the arrow that killed Yasou). The fact Trynd fights Death every time he is almost dead or about to die from a situation he is in, just adds how badass he is! That fight would go on forever (if he were allowed endless Undying Rage like Kindred is using an endless Resprite - her ultimate, depicted as the dark, blue toned atmosphere overlay that Trynd finds himself fighting in until Ashe breaks this 'illusion') Best cinematic ever! And so many minor details that add so much volume!

The lore is the most accurate out of every cinematic When Morgana uses dark magic you could see that kayle was upset and mad at morgana with the glance [that was mentioned in the lore that kayle was mad with morgana for using dark magic] [The yasuo is probably a hint after the "Ruined king" game where yasuo was set sail with ahri to Bilgwater to find answers. which indicates that he found his inner peace and ionia accepted him and he protected it till the end as we saw the arrow comming down on him which was Kindred's arrow] Tryndamere refusing to die twice First we saw kindred where Tryndamere woke up but she didn't attack cause she knew he would come out on top the second time she wanted to kill him because the 2 man sneaking behind were comming and that was slowly showing that kindred was about to kill Tryndamere but she lowered the weapon because ashe saved him, so kindred couldn't kill someone who was saved from a certain death

What's so beautiful about Kindred's fight with Tryndamere is Tryndamere has an ability (his ultimate) called Undying Rage where his eyes go red and he is invulnerable/doesn't die. With Kindred, when she kills she goes for those willing to accept death. However, with Wolf he chases and kills those running from death which is why he was attacking Tryndamere since he was in his Undying Rage. Noticing his Undying Rage, you can see Kindred tilting her head in curiosity due to see him put up a fight against death. While in his Undying Rage he was actually killing his enemies around him, only for Ashe to come save him (his lover hehe) meaning her presence knocked him back into reality (aka his eyes going back to normal). Even at the end of Yasuo's fight, Wolf's silhouette is in the trees meaning they themselves as death is always watching and are ready Another cool thing with Kayle and Morgana's fight, they are from Demacia where Demacians HATE magic. Morgana being the one who is magic based, when she used it against Aatrox to save Kayle, when Kayle got up and passed her she gives Morgana a look of disgust/disapproval for her using magic before fighting Aatrox again.

The fight within Tryndamere and Kindred have soooo much layers in lore and in game, if you actually look at an 1v1 between them Tryndamere can't die during the time of his ultimate and he is litteraly fighting death itself that have the ultimate ability to put an area on the ground where no one can die so she can see who's life she is going to take but he litterally can't die so it's a statu quo. More in depth in lore Trynda have to face Kindred every time he uses his blood magic inherited from the fight he had when Aatrox reduiced his village to ash. He see the death and look it up right in the eyes, you can see on his face just before they show up (the lamb and the wolf, aka death itself) that he knows they are here again to see if they can take him or not this time. And lorewise the final arrow that could have been the shot after Tryn was out of his magic and in a moment of inatention ashe show up and save him, kindred have no reason to chase him anymore and just disapear until the next encounter. I think it's even funny when Tryn crush the bow of Kindred and is close enough to challenge Death, kindred look surprised with a little movement of her head, so far she just watched if she could take him while walking patiently this detail is absolutly awesome

It's way more meaningful than you think. Yes the last character was Tryndamere, and the two soldiers behind him brought Kindred (death) upon him, the only reason there was even a fight at all, is because of Tryndamere's undying rage that lasts for a short duration. If you pay attention, he *defies* death for that time and that is shown as he BLOCKS the bite of Wolf, LITERALLY breaks arrows fired by Lamb, and then even her bow. Of course, that doesn't matter, as Kindred is inevitable, Lamb just summons another bow and wolf gives another chase. Kindred was there also because his undying rage was going to run out and he was still going to die, it was his destiny. In the end, you can notice, Lamb lowers her bow as she notices that it's actually not yet Tryndamere's time to go, signifying the death of the soldiers that were about to kill him, as Kindred fades out of reality with the death of the soldiers, she is replaced by his wife, Ashe, signifying the opposite of death, life, as she saved his. Ashe was almost too late as you see his eyes turn from red (undying rage) to normal (mortal again). It was a beautiful use of his and Kindred's lore in a story.

Not many people noticed that Yasuo dead cuz If you look at the trees you will see a kinder wolf and kinder arrow headed towards Yasuo. he closed his eyes because he knew he was going to die. yes and atrox did not die because he is darkn and they do not die

Old Yasuo accepted Lamb's arrow instead of struggling. Lamb offers you a gentle and painless death, while the Wolf offers you a painful death. Yes. Aatrox did not die, but his HOST did, that's why we can see Kindred's silhouette from the Fire and Smoke. Aatrox is the Sword, he will reborn if someone is good enough to wield him.

This is factually incorrect. Stop it. Riot doesn't make the videos. They hire an animation studio to do it. You could read the video description where it says "Video created in partnership with Unit Image and Ben Hibon." Or you can literally go to Unit Image's twitter and see that they made the video. The Season 2023 cinematic was made by Illusorium Studios. A studio based in Madrid Spain. The Season 2024 cinematic was made by Unit Image Studios. A studio based in Paris France. Riot didn't solely make anything. They paid for it - and Unit Image are absolutely AMAZING!
