@@76marex They never announced, that 2nd season will be out in 2023. I think mid 2024 is the earliest we can hope for, but maybe Fortiche will go apeshit and it will be ready late 2023.

Feel like Marcus doesn’t get enough credit. If not for him VI would’ve been killed by Silco at the end of Ep3. He’s filled with regret for getting Grayson killed by the deal he made now he’s in a bad situation that he wants out of, but can’t because doing the right thing means his daughter will either be fatherless or die by “accident”

The attention to detail on this show is what makes it stand out. Powder aka Jinx humming that exact song she did in the first scene of the first episode when she and her sister walked across that very same bridge where their parents were slaughtered by enforcers and where they met Vander. She’s not only confronting her sister and Caitlyn, she’s getting revenge for her parents and the people in the under city. But about the 3 act structure of this show. Although we have a time jump after episode 3, 3 acts doesn’t mean 3 time periods. It suggests a Setup, a confrontation and a resolution. And just a quick thought experiment TBR. Let’s say you and I are siblings and I have experienced major trauma and I’m probably bipolar, paranoid schizophrenic, exhibiting sociopathic behavior and you tell the doctor that’s treating me, that a simple 3 min conversation will get me to understand and most importantly, comply with a certain situation and break through over a decade of said trauma?? Here’s what that doctors expression would be 😐. I said it during your Midnight Mass reaction. Arcane continues to be one of Netflix best shows across the board. And it moves in directions you don’t think or predict it will even though it’s a very common and old story. The haves and the have not, the bourgeoisie and the proletariats… There’s a lot of French Revolution, Les Miserables in this. Only makes sense that a French studio had influence.

I was getting ready to type something similar about how a quick talk is by no way going to salvage anything with Jinx as she suffers many their mental issues that Isn’t going to be fixed with an explanation. I’m sure Jinx rationally can put it together the whys but that’s not the hugest problem her sis can’t solve

This is the best episode of the season. That Ekko vs. Jinx fight is a masterpiece in animation.

Once of my favorite small details you might miss on first watch is with Silco. In the first episode, when Deckard was being interrogated, Silco was easily able to administer whatever medicine that is in his eye, but nowadays-with Jinx doing it for him- he can't do it properly.

@@Gandorhar go rewatch the two scenes. Near the end of the first episode, he does it flawlessly. In episode 7 before Jinx shows up and takes the device from him, he struggling to do it at all.

Yes, and Ella Purnell got the Annie award "Outstanding Achievement for Voice Acting in an Animated Television/Media Production" for it. (And the show of course got 8 other Annies as well, all they were nominated for.)

There were a few scenes that show Jinx working on the mechanical butterflies starting in Episode #4. More recently (in this episode) when Jinx is stapling her leg we see mechanical butterfly parts all over her vanity/desk.

Yes, He explained to Vander that "I just need to scare them". If Jinx can make a scary weapon before Piltover does then Silco can negotiate Zauns independence from a position of power. This is his main goal.

JInx lying unconscious there on the bridge looked eerily similar to the opening scene of the show when we see Vi and Powders mother lying dead... on the same bridge.

The thing is that jinx hate as much enforcers and piltover than Silco. Also the weapon is not suppose to be use silco want a weapon so that piltover let them alone.

This is always so heartbreaking to me - we see Powder one 'last' time, just for her to try killing herself and Ekko (likely because she was at peace in that small moment between them, I guess?)

You're not wrong that Jinx and Vi need to talk, but... Jinx just indiscriminately ignited about 100 bombs right on top of your head, casually walked up and executed somebody, and shot at you with a machine gun. Do you - a) GTF out of there, or b) say "Hey, we need to talk."?

It been a recommended suggestion to watch Imagine Dragon's music video Enemy before watching this episode to give more richness to Ekko and Jinx fight because the creators never put these two good friends in a scene together until this crazy fight.

O that's interesting! The flashback to them playing as kids was so creatively spliced into their present fight but I am sure some extra interaction with them as children would have added to the impact of this scene!

I think what we saw at the end was that Vi was right. Powder is still in there... she emerged when Ekko beat her down, and she saw what she had become and decided to end it. 🙁

This episode really highlights how people from Piltover just don't get it. Jayce; "This and Shimmer, it's hard to believe what they're capable of" then Silco introduces us to the toxic air, which kills all the plants in that room and is probably the cause of Viktor's illness. Yeah Jayce, can't figure out why they'd be capable of doing what they've done.

One of the best ep Somehow they pulled so much into 9 short ep. It easily could have been 3 seasons. And in my mind Marcus is the real villain. And Silco (?sp) loves Jinx. In his own way.

It wasn't just a flashback of the playing as kids, Echo was visualising the fight based on what he remebered of Powders' fighting when they were kids, to perfectly counteract her moves to take her down quickly. But up close it proves he still cares about His childhood friend.

Silco's power and wealth obviously comes from shimmer. What most people might not understand is that there is no industry there to profit from. This is how he amasses his wealth and power with which to create his nation of Zaun. The only thing more important to him is Jinx.

I find myself trying to force any good out of Silco just so that Jinx has some positivity in her corner but every episode we are introduced with more evidence that Silco will do whatever to get what he wants and the absolute destruction he creates on his path!

You can't just hug out auditory and visual hallucinations. Signs of DID. Jinx is not just damaged, she's ill. Profoundly so. IRL, institutionally so. A longed for sisterly hug does not fix that. Powder has left the building for the most part.

Why are you talking about Powder and Jinx as if they were different people? Jinx is a name Powder gave herself, probably after episode 3. There is no personality disorder. Powder and Jinx are the same person.
