The sad part about this alternative future is that it has its own costs. Powder is fine. Mylo, Claggor, Benzo, and Vander are alive and well. Even Vander and Silco managed to make amends. But at the cost of Vi's life. Not only that but since Hextech was never invented, it's likely Jayce was either banished from the city or killed himself like he nearly attempted in episode 2. Also, Viktor's sickness would've probably already killed him by that point.

So basically: Powder found the crystals, and it exploded, just like it did in episode 1. The difference is, Vi got caught in the explosion and died, which totally removes the chase scene from existence. Powder, claggor, and milo managed to get home safely. Next butterfly effect is Jayce. Because of his attempt at creating the crystal for Hextech, Vi dies. So off-screen, Chief Enforcer, commander Grayson is able to arrest Jayce with full evidence that his invention is deemed too dangerous because of Vi's death. This led to complete confiscation with Jayce being unable to prove his works. Therefore, Hextech was never founded. There is no "Man of Tommorow," so the undercity is able to make its own inventions. Since the crystals were confiscated from the start, there was no need for conflict in search for them. So, Piltover and Zaun managed to unite. From the unity, Powder has no need to continue fighting against all odds because they never existed. She mellowed down from Vi's death, and that's why this universe can exist.

Holy shit, this is an incredible observation/theory. That could explain why Powder and the others didn't immediately see his behavior as being too weird at first. We never saw Ekko reunite with Vi. We don't know what Jinx and Ekko talked about after he saved her from suicide. I think it's very possible that they decided to leave together. Maybe he never revealed himself on purpose. Everyone already thought Ekko was dead/gone, so if Jinx could fake her death they could leave and 'break the cycle.' Also, in the scene where Ekko saves Jinx, the song switch to something more hopeful in the background: I'm not ready to face it Don't go saying goodbye There's a beauty in changes And I wanna try Maybe I'm grasping at straws a little, it would also make sense thematically for Ekko to be alone to show his grief and the song lyrics could refer to Jinx alone just easily as the two of them together. But I hope my hunch is correct.

But if that’s not true and everyone would know they only don’t age, then he clearly burnt just the one for Heimerdinger and knows Jinx escaped or refuses to believe she died, since they didn’t find her body.

I kinda love the ending. It wasnt a happy ending, but it was an ending necessary to obtain peace. Ecko would never forget the things Jinx have done, but now he can love and mourn her in peace. And he also have this memory, all the things that could have been.

This series has to be the best animated show i have seen in the last decade. And this romance + kiss scene made that episode unforgettable. Had the grown man in me giggling and kicking my feet LMFAO. Superb song choice for the dance scene as well. Jinx is still alive. We all saw that shimmer when that explosion happened, plus Cait smirking after locationg that air vent in the tower. Not to mention, I remember her saying she wanted to fly on a airship a while back- and what do you know, we get that airship flying off into the distance as the last scene before the credits. Jinx took the advice and disappeared just like she wanted to, breaking the cycle. I just wish we get to see Ekko and Jinx and have their relationship develop in whatever sequel is planned. I just need more of those two LOL

The sex scene between them, for me, represents the same instability as always-they are unable to solidify the relationship they idealize. Not to mention, I found it strange that they would have sex in the cell where your sister has been suffering from Isha's death, a moment that happens after she literally told you in a fairly direct tone that she wanted to kill herself. I think it’s a relationship born of contradiction, functioning as a way for them to escape themselves.
