I still don't understand why Ambessa teamed up with Viktor. He would take over her mind too. It literally makes no sense.
@thatgermanview5721Ай бұрын
good question. I would guess she was arrogant or desperate. But I feel like we gonna dive deeper into he Mel, Ambessa storyline soon.
@iceescapeАй бұрын
I see her as one of those power hungry types (like our modern day CEOs and politicians) who just wants power and to win at all costs, even if it means destroying the world and everyone around them. They are too arrogant to see that they will also be destroyed by their own actions.
@757reaperАй бұрын
Because she was desperate. Jayce disappearing means she didn't have a weapon she could use to overthrow the intelligence branch of their government, and since Viktor had already alter Warwicks mind there is no guarantee they can make him respond like Reveck did. Additionally, she's under the impression that Reveck's cure for death involves getting Viktor to he hexgates. Ambessa was trying to be the fox, and got out foxed by both Reveck and Viktor. Reveck had his cure after he started the process. Sidenote and potential spoilers for future series' in noxus/ionia: The Relics on her arms for the fight wouldn't resolve the issue. The people who make them do not pass those out to many people, and they are a part of Noxus, they're not going to assist in attacking the "Guile" of their government.

It's simple... She thought she could CONTROL Viktor who had achieved a power she needs to battle the Black Rose in her quest for revenge because they k!lled hee son. It was established throughout the story that Arcane is proficient at control and manipulating people who have the power she can use.

I really enjoyed s2 it was really good the high moments in s2 was definitely peak, the animations absolute cinema. But I cannot shake the feeling that the entire season was just rushed. There were a lot of characters arcs that weren't explored properly Riot was speed running literally everyone's story besides the Vi/Jinx/Isha/Vander arc. Ekko cooked up time travel and a whole ass multiverse in less than 40 minutes. That's insane, that story deserved at least an entire act by itself. There should be an inner conflict with him having to choose between staying there with the people he has lost before or going back to try and save the people he left behind. The Ekko and Powder stuff was soooo good and it was setting up for him to finally get through to Jinx in the main timeline. I would have loved to see the Ekko and Jinx conversation and then see how he convinces her that there is a GOOD version of her that exists since he literally saw it. Then he can also see how she became the savior of Zaun after he disappeared. Then they can rally the undercity together to help in the final fight. Like there's sooooooooo much good stuff to tell but Riot literally just sped ran the entire season...
@JessInDreams7Ай бұрын
They definitely left a lot unexplored. Ekko and Powder AU was an entire lifetime condensed to a few moments 🥹 I guess the good thing about that is it leaves you with something to think about, but at the same time, it also makes you wish they expanded a bit more 😅 I really liked how this season didn't have a single dull moment, and how they showed events in a non-linear way/switched perspectives quite often.

Act 2 felt more like a finale than act 3 did. Act 2 was peak. It was so intense and so emotional, that act 3 (besides ep 7) truly pales in comparison. Also acts 1 / 2 had so much creativity in them, from amazing fights to montages and ep 8/9 were a step down, where it should have been the other way around.
@DjVanillaGuerillaАй бұрын
I agree with you that there was to much going on. After Isha's sacrifice I felt like a toddler trying to hold my head up for the rest of the show. It was a huge emotional beat. So when it came time to feel that for the other moments it wasn't as impactful. Or they didn't give a good enough build up. I think the creator even said that. But they didn't have the money or time to make more episodes. Also if you really think about it, Viktor play the ultimate groom on Jayce. The dude became a god, travelled through space and time, all so Jayce would want him in the end. And people think that's cute lol Again, Love your reviews and just how genuine you are. Hoping the best for your channel. You deserve it.

Yea, the big moments happened so close to each other I barely had time to breathe. Haha, I hadn't thought of Viktor and Jayce as grooming, but it's kind of true 😂 Poor little Jayce didn't even really have a choice and got dragged into some world-ending ordeal. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and letting me know you enjoyed it 😊

@@JessInDreams7 Yeah, groom is kind of a strong word, but it get's the point across lol. He planted the seed and made it happen is my point. It's almost like Jayce didn't have a choice. Anyway. Sorry. Thanks again 🙏🙏 ✌& ♥

The pacing issue is not a bug but a feature. Accelerationism is a huge overarching theme. Episode 7 is the most beatiful thing ever, took me some time to realize that this timeline is also doomed underneath its shiny surface. No story has been wrapped up. Singed will be punished and forced to fight for himself. Vi will be in Noxus with Cait. Jinx will go to Ionia and revisit Piltover after some time to once again nuke the council.
@shadowone01x9928 күн бұрын
The pacing was fine for me. Arcane season 2 builds on sn1 without handholding you, no filler, no fluff, no over-simplification, no over repetitively *FORCED* toddler-ish "comedy" and no spoon feeding while encouraging deductive participation from the audience/ viewers to follow the plot complimented by an ABSOLUTE BANGER of hyper-cinematic induction all culminating to higher immersive experience. There are many online still scratching their head about how or why Silco and Vander became buddies again in the alternate timeline yet they COMPLETELY forgot about the LETTER from Vance addressed to Silco IN SEASON 1 which Silco never read in the main timeline so it becomes BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that he read the letter and "found the will to forgive" in the alternate timeline. Brilliant compact and impactful writing. But instead many are demanding to be spoon-fed. The only main issue for me (personal bias) is the finale should have been longer and bigger battle filled will much more multiple character moments AND we should have SEEN how Ekko united Zaun after saving Jinx including seeing Jinx make a new arm for Sevika. Also we never got to know WHO the other leading families of Piltover are but i am okay and content with what we got on screen. Especially considering how INSANELY EXPENSIVE the budget was (Arcane sn1+2 budget= $250m, most expensive animation ever) so it's understandable how and why they made the writing tight and compact while giving the audience some participatory deduction and generate interest to research into the lore. What they delivered is still very peak in my opinion. We all wanted more eps but there is cost-benefit situation with that. Perhaps in future projects they could make each ep 10mins longer from 40mins-50mins then the final can be like 1hr. This can be a perfect middle ground to give more time to more avenues of the plot without adding more full eps. It might cost a little more but still significantly LESS than making additional FULL eps. Either way, both Arcane sn1+2 have been incredibly amazing. Both get at LEAST ABOVE 9/10 rating from me irrespective of whatever flaws each season has.

I even find it funny how basically everyone joins hands to agree that episode 7 is perfect... Except for Vi's fans... But we distract them by showing them Ekko's drawing or her plush toy. (It always works 🗿👍)

So, Fortige did a lot of showing and not telling in the previous season, and the same happened in this season, but a lot of details are too vague to make it clear without nitpicking every detail. The point of the black rose being introduced (outside of spin offs) is to explain Ambessa's motivation, but because they didn't give anyone anything on them, only lol lore fans could get a clear gest. TL;DR: Ambessa actions get increasingly more desperate because every tool she was trying to retrieve was slipping out of her grasp. Causing her to make really bad gambles. Black rose is the magic based intelligence agents of the Noxus, who has a completely different goal entirely, which requires them to conscript and train kids with unique magic abilities... too much into the weeds. Point is Ambessa specifically needed the weapons to help overthrow one of their governmental branches, and with the loss of hex weapons, and the loss of Warwick, and her daughter being kidnapped, and her son being murdered, she follows the path of Silco. Doing anything to achieve her goal, and appearing like she crossed her child, and causing their child to achieve the thing they wished, but at the cost of their life. So many mirrors in the show.

It was as though the pace continuation was a constant through the 2 seasons combined. Many series have a “reset” at the beginning whereas Arcane just kept going with the ramp up of storyline. It moved quickly but I think they believed the slower pace of season one set the stage enough to hammer us with the story itself.

I honestly don't think the series tried to force a relationship between Jayce and Victor in the end. I would even dare say that such a statement would be disrespectful... Don't get me wrong, I'm totally okay with relationships like this in many series... But in this specific case everything points to a brotherhood thing. Victor saved Jayce's life before... from unlive himself... just as Jayce later saved his in a comparable situation... after Sky turns to dust... When they hugged at the end... Victor became aware not only of what we saw but of all of this as well... I believe that knowing the other person so deeply was what made him break down any barriers and allow himself to "get closer" in such an intimate way. For me, bringing up sexual position in the discussion just unnecessarily sexualizes a scene in which love and friendship should be the focus. If something were to come out of this in the future, I wouldn't be against it. On the contrary, I would raise my glass and let's toast together out of respect for the happiness of them 🥂. But honestly wanting to turn any form of intimate affection between two people of the same gender into something gay should be seen as disrespectful as saying that any character in a body that is not of they original gender is a trans.
@K-J-AАй бұрын
Anyway, it's just my opinion on the matter and I respect anyone who disagrees as long as the respect is mutual.
@JessInDreams7Ай бұрын
Oh yea, I totally think Viktor and Jayce's love was platonic! I didn't get any passionate sexual vibes from either of them towards each other or anything. To me, it just seemed like they were on a level even beyond just friendship and brotherhood though. Like I said soulmates in the video, but even then it seems more than that too? Since Viktor was like, out of all the possibilities, you were the only one who could stop me. Maybe Viktor really has no other friends or family, but it's a pretty extreme thing to say unless Jayce is a really special person to him. They were like intertwining consciousness on a spiritual plane at the end there. Haha, but Idk I'm also really bad at analyzing relationships in shows because in Season 1, I thought Jayce and Caitlyn were a thing at first 😅
