There's this fascinating like......genre of entertainment that's come about due to censorship of LGBT in east Asia clashing with popularity of the content. By that I mean......there's this 'Sword Fantasy' comic that was really popular, that was then adapted to the show 'The Untamed' which is on netflix. The comic, has a explicit relationship between two men, but due to censorship they couldn't have that in the show they made........which ends up with two guys being in the most ROMANTIC situations possible but just not being able to have any kind of a physical realtionship, ( the most they can do is call each other their 'soulmate' or 'true partner') Anway my point is I think Jayvik is in the same vein. I think there was maybe a desire to have them as romantic but with Arcane becoming like, the official LORE, they just couldn't (they could edit the Caitlyn x Vi stuff specifically because it wasn't crucial to the plot, the Jayvik stuff IS) because they want to do business in those areas........so they just make Jayvik the most ROMANTIC thing possible without it being explicit romance and have to tell everyone 'what, no! Romance between two guys in our show? You're grasping at straws man'.

i love mdzs and honestly cannot believe they tried to adapt it in animation and live action while cutting all the gay shit (which are literally the point of so many dramatic and important plot moments). like. its so weird. i recommend all that like the drama or anime to just read the novel, it's leagues better. edit: also DONT waste your time reading the manhua, its not a good adaptation of the source material, it cuts a lot of things out and speeds up the pace and vibe of so many moments. i know people hate reading but READ THE NOVEL!!! its easier to understand the chinese cultural references as well!!

Zaunites would know Jinx killed a bunch of enforcers and bombed the council, they might know the Firelights as opposition to Silco/shimmer, but they haven't had the same accomplishments against Piltover in comparison. Ekko was also gone during the most oppresive era, though due to no fault of his own. Of course the show doesn't go nearly in detail enough and shifts to a larger-than-life threat as a cop out, but it's way more believable the people would support Jinx over Ekko, unless they gave Ekko a few more Ws against Pitlover in S2, instead they sent him to wish fulfillment land.

Arcane I do think is pretty millennial, a fair amount of the music is quite 'safe' by my own silly definitions and sometimes takes me out of the immersion, and i'm not as old as Hasan. Life is strange has a pretty fitting soundtrack and is something Max would listen to Its a bit hard to describe but biggest offenders are the hip hop and metal songs, in the show they are supposed to represent the underground but often sound a bit goofy to me, I love Ekko but his music felt boardroom meeting and I really like Denzel Curry. All the emotional cuts were fantastic though and the intro grew on me even if I can't help but laugh at canonised imagine dragons

@@starseedgaon While I personally didn't really like how they ended Jinx's arc, I think season 2 still went perfectly in depth with her mental illness. She has very clear PTSD and BPD (not DID) and also season 2 showcased depression quite well in episode 8, and I don't think she was "getting in the way of her sister's happiness" at all, I think that's just how Jinx herself felt about the situation, so she took control of it when she had the option to and decided to start anew by faking her own death.
