@@tomzy6969 Czech/Polish swear words are basically just swear words that anyone can read 😂 I think his accent is too soft to be put into Russian. Maybe Ukranian? Not very sure, the voice actor made a good job in not being too specific about it so everyone can make him out to be from anywhere. I am Czech, so portraying him as Czech, and having it be confirmed that he has a "very bad Czech accent" just makes me so so happy. We are small, but seen!

Based on this clip, I feel like Viktor’s personality through his voice changes quite a lot while Jayce’s seems fairly similar (in this moment). Czech Viktor sounds more confident and bold,a bit prideful. Meanwhile English Viktor, while very confident in himself, speaks more as if he’s well aware what people assume of him, with his sarcasm and attitude coming across as defiant.

In certain spaces that's actually very sought-after. My dad does audiobook narration, and, while we're Americans, he's had a lot of books with a lot of different character accents, so he's had to study many; some productions hire multiple voice actors in order to get authentic character accents. There's definitely a market for it! Especially in the animation field, I'd wager.

I LOVE OUR DUBBING SO MUCH we have so many talented voice actors, and Viktor's really suits him, but I found Jayce's and Silco's voice actor to stand out to me the most, Jayce's voice actor dubbed Ash from Pokemon and Draco Malfoy, both before and after puberty. It's very endearing to think about, and to grow up with this specific voice, then to hear him in one of my most favourite characters later on. So so sososososo amazing, I'm so proud of our little country ♥

As a Czech person I DESPISE Czech dubs. Always the same VAs and no variety. I feel like the popularity is more important for them rather than finding a suitable voice… for example Vi’s va is atrocious and actually pain to listen to. I actually like czech dub season 1 (except Silco, that's a huge downgrade, but eng Sico's voice is literally perfect, so i wasn't expecting anything better anyway). For season 2 i'd say they did Vi dirty, way softer voice than in the original, doesn't suit her at all.

Nope, and even if he had some dialect from the same country, some Czech dialects are too cringe to hear, so I'm glad he just sounds like this. For me example, Moravian dialect/accent. I used to grow up there, but I was going to Bohemia more often to visit my gf, and I got rid of mine easily. To compare it's basically like Australian accent compared to America

Not gonna lie, I miss some of their speach quirks from the eng dub. It's good, and I think Viktors VA (though he sounds very different from eng dub VA) and Heimerdingers VA do very well, but for some reason Jayces VA really doesn't work for me. I don't know why. He's not bad by any means he just doesn't sit right with me :/ also, obviously some lines are a bit weird in czech, since the dub must deal with matching the mouth animation and timing of the eng dub, but "asi nějaký výzkum" is just. no. that is. not. hm. That said, much respect to everyone who worked on the dub, overall it sound pretty great. (btw a small joke for people not from czechia, but since the country is tiny and the acting industry is tiny there is a miniscule number of voice actors, so you will hear certain voices everywhere. makes for a fun experience)
