I ran the charge car at Allied Chemical's Ashland, KY coke plant back in the early 70s. Needless to say, I had one of the "old" cars. It was quite an experience.

Worked on all disciplines( Ram, Tops, Larry car Guide side & Wharf) All old school & no self sealing doors😕 At Monckton Coke ovens Near Barnsley South Yorkshire in England, it was brutal during the summer months.
