That’s my headcanon. Most Legendary Pokémon you catch are actually avatars that let the prime legendary experience the world without whatever domain it’s in charge of falling apart. Exceptions would be the Galar doggos and Eternatus, since they volunteered or were canned, respectively.

@@GamerFromJump To add, I once saw a guy theorise that each avatar is based on artwork and the imagination of humans, so in another universe, they might look completely different but still be the same being. My own theory is that prior to the concept intelligence (Jojo Stone Ocean) taking root, the forces of creation and the like did have their own egos, but only up to a particular point; they didn’t have any concrete personalities, definitions, etc. It was only when humans and Pokémon alike began to imagine that they finally gained corporeal forms and souls.

I recall one of the games having an event where Arceus straight up creates a new universe so that the Player can choose between a Dialga, a Palkia, and a Giratina; so it seems each universe has its own incarnation of them.

I mean, we know Dialga, Palkia and Giratina can each reset the entire multiverse if forced to, and it seems confimred that the Creation Trio also have the similar "non-corporeal deity that creates and uses a physical avatar" that Arceus has. We know this because not only does Giratina rule the Distortion World, but in fact we're told directly that Giratina in fact _IS_ the Distortion World itself, so Dialga and Palkia are likely the same. Rather than each universe having its own incarnation of them, it's more like Dialga and Palkia have one avatar in each universe (with Giratina only sending avatars from the Distortion World to the normal universes when provoked by an imbalance, such as Cyrus getting too big for his britches).

This is what I hate. Arceus has shown countless anti feats and yet you all assume that with a “God” status, they are all powerful. This is an nlf of pure nonsense. I guess like 99% of fiction has many omnipotents because they are a capotal G… like no… I’m sorry but arceus durability feats are not even close to good and Arceus never even created space time, AN NPC STATES THERE WAS A PLACE BEFORE POKEMON THAT WAS DESTROYED AND A BEING THAT HATCHED FROM AN EGG IN CHAOS WHICH PROVES THEY ARE NOT EVEN THE FIRST BEING. Arceus also had a time and space to hatch and a specified time. Arceus created not the concept of space and time, but a version that low tier marvel and dc chars have done already. It can also be interpreted the other way around. If you look at Beerus' statements he says that We god of destructions can't stay calm while we fight. Then he states that we gods of destruction uses another technique that goes with rage. Here Vegeta curiously asks Beerus what is that Gods of descrution use. And Beerus says that he won't tell him . We can obviously assume that this is hakai energy as you said. But the problem is ,Vegeta already knows about destruction energy. So what is the relevance of Beerus not telling it to him and what is the point of this conversation ? Simply said Beerus was talking about Ultra Ego. But to use it , one shall learn destruction first. Vegeta obviously broke through the barrier and achieved UE just like how Goku got UI. But UE probably already existed among gods and Beerus trained him to a level were he could reach it. In short Beerus was indeed training him and guiding him towards UE.

Probably not, but considering Conquest's Omnipotent ability allows Arceus to bypass resistances and immunities, it doesn't really matter. Anything's gonna hit equally as hard

It wouldn't need to do that, considering Arceus is just _VASTLY_ higher than Beerus anyway. It's just like how SSGSS Goku wouldn't need to know a Titan's weakness is its nape (Attack on Titan) when he can just vaporize it with a massive energy blast without any effort regardless.

But, I'll do so, first by pointing out that this video alone does that since the crew here literally talk about how Arceus far stronger. Arceus created the Pokemon multiverse, and unlike the Dragon Ball multiverse which only has 12 universes, the Pokemon multiverse has _infinite_ multiverses with multiple higher dimensions of space-time that the Creation Trio effortlessly control. This is further seen in the Cave of Reflections for X and Y. We also know for a fact that Arceus curbstomps the entire Creation Trio of Palkia, Dialga and Giratina, which is important because just _one_ member of the Creation Trio alone is individually powerful enough to reset _ALL_ reality across the multiverse to literally _erase the very CONCEPT of spirit._ You read that right, the Creation Trio can literally erase entire baseline concepts from existence. This is made just inferred either, since Cyrus' entire plan was to use either Palkia or Dialga to delete the concept of spirit from the multiverse (seen in both the games and the canon manga, while the anime movies are _NOT_ canon so don't bother bringing up the Jewel of Life). Since Arceus is much stronger than Palkia, Dialga and Giratina, it's obvious he can also erase concepts from existence and can even do more since Palkia and Dialga alone could reset an entire infinite multiverse. Of course, due to Dialga and Palkia being offshoots of Arceus, that also means Arceus himself also has total control over space-time in all reality which Beerus has no resistance against. There's also the fact that True Form Arceus is omnipresent too, because even the original Diamond/Pearl games explicitly tell that Arceus' true essence is unbound by time or space and in fact exists simultenaously across all reality, so no matter how many quintillions of times faster than light Beerus, Arceus has him beat infinitely. In case you doubt any of this, feel free to check out user ProfessorKukui4Life's Pokemon Cosmology blog, which references statements and discoveries across the games, manga and even statements from the Pokemon creators themselves while also debunking any counter-arguments. Well, I've proved Arceus is vastly higher than Beerus - Beerus can destroy _MILLIONS_ of universes (since Beerus >> SSGSS Goku >>>> SSG Goku > 9x Universe-level), but Arceus scales above beings like Dialga and Giratina who can reset an *_INFINITE_* multiverse along with Arceus having created that infinite multiverse to begin with. The Dragon Ball character closest to Arceus in power would be Zeno, and obviously Beerus is scared shitless of Zeno XD. Arceus wins, you have your proof and I've made my point. Bye.

35:40 Arcues existed outside of Time and Space, before Time and Space even existed. So no, he doesn't need Dialga and Palkia. They are simply paintbrushes, and Arceus is the Painter. If Dialga and Palkia die, nothing happens, and Arceus can simply create a new one to take their place, as you see in one of the game. In a game, you meet Arcues, and he create a copy of one of the three creation legendries, for you to have. It takes him seconds.

His true form is far, far above that. And this _avatar_ of Arceus is able to create gods of time, space, and antimatter at will, whose powers created the Pokemon universe as it is today. What happened with Arceus in the movie is still dumb, but it's at least more believable now.

I am so glad Pokémon Legends Arceus gives justice to this Pokemon. It explains more what he can do and demonstrates how powerful he really is. He literal give just enough power to make it a 'fair' fight. You catch him not because you can, but because he let's you, Giving a part of himself. Pretty much confirming that he straight up just an avatar. So yeah, he was going EXTREMELY easy on you just to see what your capable of. They made me appreciate Arceus way more in this.

Honestly, I feel like the original Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was going for, but back then they just couldn't quite articulate what Arceus was actually meant to be for whatever reason (mainly the small bit where it's mentioned that Arceus' heart and essence persists throughout _all_ universes and dimensions). Legends finally explicitly demonstrates the Lovecraftian-esque nature of Arceus' divinity that only fanart previously got, which is _awesome._

A single fight between Dialga and Palkia lifted a town and placed into a sort of limbo state of space and Time. Arceus in the jewel of life movie fights Dialga, Palkia and giratina at once and his supposed avatar barely broke a sweat fighting them all, I feel like that stands on its own but if we are talking about game Arceus, he exists far beyond the understanding of humans and supposedly can have an infinite amount of avatars, I just don't think beerus can match that, he's ridiculously strong but Arceus is in a whole other league.

Even though creation has no bearing on attack potency, Arceus still wins by sheer endurance. Through Word of God and lore, we know that the Pokémon universe is infinite, is a part of an infinite multiverse, and that each game cartridge is a separate multiverse. Thanks to Legends, we know that each Arceus we see in the games is just a part of the true being (who existed before time, so the Hakai wouldn’t be able to affect that version). Arceus could just keep throwing clones at Beerus until he gets tired, even if none of them have any real attack potency feats.

Actually I would have to disagree with you. Although yes there are practically infinite amount of him it wouldn't really tire beerus out as he wouldn't really be using that much effort to take down these bodies of Arceus. I mean it would be much weaker than him and he would just need a single hakai to take them out and it would only be in an annoyance so at most it would be a stalemate as Arceus would definitely not be able to tire beerus out nor will he be able to take him out but also beerus won't be able to permanently take him down either. But if we're just talking about one Arceus versus beerus then beerus obviously wins.

Arceus' actual title is very obscure. And it also settles the fight instantly. Arceus' title is "The God Who Transcends Everything" (すべてを超越した神). And "everything" in this case is an infinite multiverse with infinite timelines, each universe being infinite in size, as well as a mirror version of that multiverse, in the form of the Distortion World. Generation 6 made every game its own universe. Generation 7 made every game its own multiverse. It isn't known how long it took Arceus to create the multiverse. But we do know that de- and reconstructing a single timeline takes less than 2 minutes. This was done by an avatar. Yes, you beat Arceus in Legends: Arceus (which also is the only game he can legitimately be fought. Just a fun fact. Never even realised that until someone told me), but it isn't what it seems... Arceus gives you the thing needed to defeat it, uses an avatar, and very much acts like it's just testing you. So what is defeated is a non-serious avatar.

The mysterious balm (I think that’s what it’s called, might be legendary balm or something idk), is only used to calm down pokemon, you’re not even hurting it, you’re just chucking them at him, hoping he decides you hit him enough to say that you’re worthy (represented by the bar). You aren’t even defeating him, just making him see you as someone good enough to be his ‘friend’ so he can see the multiverse he created with his own eyes.

Actually creating a universe is more impressive than destroying one, because when you just destroy the universe, you're merely destroying all the objects that reside with in it, the space and timeline it once occupied is still there. While creating a universe requires more power as you have to literally create the space and time that the universe that contains said universe. Now sometimes depending on the series a character destroys the space and time the universe residing in, and sometimes the character only created the objects that reside within the universe, how I mentioned before is just usually how these feats are depicted in fiction. this has nothing to do with the actual battle and just something I wanted to point out.

To answer why Arceus is designed like that: Its basically put a fusion of deities from different mythologies. They wanted it to be more omniverse rather then 1 specific religion or myth. As for its "ring", that seems to be based on the Kaphtziel or practical Kabbalah, a symbol often used in the holy side of alchemy. Speaking of which "The Archeus" is also a thing in alchemy and myth, the lowest point of the astral plane. Simply put, the link that binds the physical world and spiritual world (that and Arceus is also a mix of Arc (meaning high/all powerful) and obviously Deus, meaning God)

Arcues kind of stomps. Pokemon is a massive multiverse, well, an infinite multiverse since every save is another multiverse (infinite ultra space wormholes, infinite other worlds, and the world we played in), and theoretically there are infinite saves. The ‘main’ Arceus can create a countless number of its avatars, who created create the creation trio and lake guardians, and then that infintecimally small fraction of arcues then formed their own multiverse with the creation trio then bringing in their concepts. Each of the creation trio is universal, since one of them is easily capable of destroying the universe and remaking it in Cyrus’ vision. And this ‘fraction’ of Arceus is easily able to make more of them, as seen in Sinjoh Ruins, where they literally just made another part of the creation trio, and depending on how you interpret the scene he actually created an entirely new universe in seconds, and could probably do it again, easily. It’s also likely that each of the lake guardians are stronger than they let on, since their forms are simply just an astral projection, a fraction of their power, since their true forms rest under their lakes. I also think that Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina are also just astral projections, since Giratina IS the distortion realm, which is infinite, so Palkia and Dialga are also likely Space and Time themselves. According to Dialga and Palkias Pokédex entries, them breathing maintains space and time, so it’s not a far cry that they’re space and time avatars. Not only that, in legends arcues, it tells us that arceus exists in a realm beyond space and time, making it exist outside of the third dimension. Basically… arcues has no limits, they have infinite power and they exist beyond the third dimension. Beerus clearly has limits, as everyone in dragon ball does, while even a fraction of Arcues is literally just an omnipotent God. The anime anti feats don’t count since the anime Arcues isn’t the same Arceus as the game Arcues. When a 10 year old catches him, it’s because he lets them, not because he can’t stop them. He also doesn’t want to unleash an infinite amount of power in a battle because that would kill everyone, and a Pokémon battle is a sport, not a death match. It’s also because it’s a game, it’s unfair to everyone playing if you literally can’t touch him, so he kind of… let’s them.

If I recall, the universes that didn’t participate in the Tournament of Power aren’t necessarily because they’re stronger. It’s because they were the universes that were the best handled and with the best quality of life. Basically, on a scale of A to F, those that didn’t participate had A+ to B-, while the ones that were forced to fight had C to F grades. I think it was a scale of 1 to 10 in the anime, so the universes with a grade or rank of 7 or lower had to fight. So, not necessarily about power levels, but about which gods weren’t sucking at their job. Beerus is, probably, the most skilled of the GoD when it comes to fighting, but he’s terrible at his job due to his laziness, which is why his universe is the second worst one in the anime (the furry universe was the worst one).

Here's how I imagine the fight going: Beerus is eating cake and chatting with Bulma. Then, I imagine Beerus getting annoyed at some annoying Pokémon, like a cactus Pokémon he sit's on, or a Snorlax eating his sweet desserts. Beerus vows to eradicate all Pokémon in existence. Arceus appears to protect his creation. Beerus punches the "sliver" of Arceus, Arceus flinches, then glare's back at Beerus (Text appears indicating that Arceus used the move Leer or Glare.) Beerus get's shivers, then his damage falls. Beerus gets mad, pull's a page out of Frieza's book, and decides to shoot a death beam at a poor pokemon on earth. Arceuses anger overflows, and then Beerus begins to feel light headed. He's pulled into an alternate dimension, a place closer to Arcesuses full form. Beerus turns around to whiteness planetary sized arms rising into the space for many miles around. Arceus is huge and omnipotent. The thousands of arms stretch far into the depths of the space of this dimension. And then, the camera zooms in on Beerus's face; his mouth hanging slightly open, his pupils dilated. Beerus suddenly disintegrates, and is erased from existence.

As far as matches involving Pokemon's ridiculous cosmology, I really like Giratina vs Millenniummon. I'd love to see them try to comprehend the Digital World as a structure and what it takes to destroy it. That and the sheer amount of BFR and space-time shenanigans would make for a great battle animation.

@@gameuniverse5973 I've seen multiversal scaling for Giratina through statements about the reach of Dialga and Palkia's potential destruction. For some reason I'm having a hard time tracking them back down right now. Their ability to manipulate infinite time and infinite space might get them there too. Every time I try to look into this matchup my brain starts melting, so I'll probably leave that to DB. Even if it's a stomp though, it's still a really awesome battle.

@@gameuniverse5973 Arceus' greatest feat was creating every Pokemon Timeline out there, correct? Millenniummon can do similar such feats even WITHOUT turning into Moon=Millenniummon or, god forbid, ZeedMillenniummon. In fact, Millenniummon's whole shtick was that it was going to merge all the infinite Digital Worlds out there into one for it to rule over. (Also the correct term for this 'Metaversal' stuff is Complex Multiversal). It also doesn't help that Millenniummon has shown resistances to basically everything Arceus could attempt to throw at it, and considering Millenniummon is basically immortal (even if one were to somehow destroy Millenniummon's body, it would simply turn into Moon=Millenniummon while it reforms its body).

Eh, Galaxia offers more satisfying animation due to the simple fact of actually moving while she attacks, and the overall destruction connection (Along with some others) is something I like more than the basic “Creation VS Destruction” theme of this match, which you can get by replacing Arceus with most deities. Hell, there are some contrasts between the two as well, so that point kinda gets lost.

The Creation Trio and Arceus have shown feats comparable to and above Beerus, like Arceus, by waking up, releasing a shockwave that caused two dimensions to collide. Also, people blow Magcargo way out of proportion. Back in 2012, scientists made an object with a temperature of 9.9 trillion degrees F. Yet we're all still here, depressingly enough.

on the topic of Pokemon shrinking, that seems to have always been a thing from the very start. in a recently-translated book detailing the world of Pokemon that came out alongside red and green in Japan, there's a little mini-story about the guy who discovered Pokemon's ability to shrink. he had a primape that he kept around to study, but he kept it sedated because... well, obviously he'd do that, he doesn't wanna die and he doesn't exactly have a pokeball for it because they hadn't been invented yet. one day, he accidentally overdosed the primape and it got super tired and weak, and then he found it curled up inside his glasses case, super shrunk down, to sleep and recover. so it seems to have always been a concept, it just... wasn't really ever explained (unless you count the manga)
