Mabey not day one, but sark should have eased him into playing with the one's and have ewers come in as an option type QB or something on special situation plays like spurrier did with Tim tebow and that other QB years ago on 3rd and short. Ewers gets scattered and makes stupid decisions when plays break down and or tries to much.

As a UGA fan, honestly I was happy Sark didnt use Arch more than he did. Running QBs give everybody problems- not just UGA. That said, I personally haven't seen Arch go off against elite defenses. He looked good against weak teams this year, but to say he's a dynamic, elite CFB QB at this point is a bit premature imho. Sark seems to know offenses and QBs and I think he would be playing Arch more if he thought that was his best option to win games. If TX and UGA meet again in the natty we could see Arch vs Gunner- two backup QBs trying to win a championship! That would be fun. Great show sir. Cheers.

But I'm saying it is about Quinn Ewers because he has 25 passing touchdowns and Arch Manning has 9 passing touchdowns this year. There is a problem here. Some of us pointed it out before the season started. First, with the right leadership and offensive productivity, we have a national championship team right now. RIGHT NOW. Our defense along with a really productive offense would give us a national championship. Sure, we are not as good as I hope we get in the future but we are good enough to get a natty this year if the offense works. That's how good our defense is. The problem is this, if you can make a logical argument for Arch now in any form then you can make a logical argument that Arch should have been in there from the get go. (and he should have) This doesn't make the coach look great. Another issue now is that he's probably not as ready to come in now as he would have been if he had been playing all along. That's my issue with Arch coming in. We've wasted a year on Quinn and that's a year that we could have pretty easily won a natty. I said Quinn would never win a Natty at he first of the year. Believe me, I want him to do good, I just don't think he's got it in him. Prove me wrong Quinn. Don't throw me in the briar patch.

Having arch in makes the safeties play conservative as well as the linebackers, that opens up receivers. When they know they are beat they back up and opens up a run lane for Arch. I've seen it dozens of times this season with him! You watch, once arch is gone to the nfl, sark will be saying "damn, I should have started him earlier than year 3!"

I believe in Sark and he's done an incredible job but I fear he's going to blow this opportunity with the QB situation. We are not going to bully teams (like Georgia) along the offensive line of scrimmage and therefor will struggle running the ball against honest fronts if we meet again. That means Arch as a plus one runner is the only option to turn to and I'm not saying ditch Quinn per say. Arch needs an extended package if not Red Zone ownership. Zone Reads, RPO's, Designed QB draws on top of slants and fades in Red zone with Arch. Let him go. I don't care to hear "he's not ready". We need him.

Well my question is why is Quinn the issue when we only rushed for 31 yards? The last game we rushed for 30+ yards. Our OL could not get any push. Our WRs also had key drops that killed drives. We had penalties and perhaps the most prominent missed opportunity is we didn't convert on two makeable FGs. If we make the FGs, we win.

Arch manning should eventually start. Evers has committed to the draft. But way to approach is to play ewers 80% against Clemson. Make him look good. And ease in manning. Then you put in manning more and more. So it doesn’t hurt ewers draft stock and to show manning, they can turn to him and he’s the future. Sark not turning to manning will just lead to fan frustration. The fucking point is to go into deep playoffs and win as many games possible and potentially a championship. You can’t just be like oh ewers is our guy and be mid when there’s clear upside. Think Taysom hill, and Brees. Both = explosive offensive

Sark obviously knows 14million % more about football than me. But ya don’t need a PhD in the sport to see that Ewers isn’t the guy to win big games. In 3 years as a starter, with immense talent surrounding him, he’s led the team to only one big win. Quinn isn’t a threat to strike downfield or run. He doesn’t allow the offense to stretch the field. It’s all very one-dimensional. And he floats balls and makes bad decisions by throwing into disadvantages coverages. He also looks tentative and not confident on the field. I do not see leadership. When Arch comes in, you can visibly see the team’s energy level rise. Yes, he’ll make rookie mistakes, but we gain more than we lose.

Suppose you've all seen Arch Manning's last few high school games, when he choked hugely, throwing interceptions against stiff competition in the playoffs. You'll understand why Sark didn't use Arch against Georgia in that case. He is not ready for this yet. Next year is his turn, and I hope we have a solid backup for him. Arch is still more about hype, but I can see his potential.

@@Pidabred1 You won't like what I'm going to tell you. Texas has two of the most overhyped quarterbacks. Sark is a great offensive coach, and many quarterbacks will be successful under his tutelage. He's recruited well and has surrounded his QBs with talents. I need to see the leadership or will to win in Ewers. He is slow, fragile, and can't throw on the run. Arch is more athletic, but I've yet to see his mental toughness and experience. Next year is his year.
