a true axonometric i think is 45degrees and 45 degrees. so i think the script should be (only change the 30 to 45) ! _Select _Pause _SetActiveViewport Top _Rotate 0 45 _SetActiveViewport Right _Shear w0 w0,0,1 -45 _SetActiveViewport Top _Zoom _All _Extents

I am a mechanical engineer and I am doing research on additive manufacturing. I have to learn grasshopper and rhinoceros but it is very interesting to see the architectural point of view for the usage of that software. I would never expect that it could be used that way. I love your tutorials.

I'm Using Rhino 6 SR8 too but It's not working for me. I'm using: ! _Select _Pause _SetActiveViewport Top _Rotate 0 45 _SetActiveViewport Right _Shear w0 w0,0,1 -45 _SetActiveViewport Top _Zoom _All _Extent

this script: ! _Select _Pause _SetActiveViewport Top _Rotate 0 45 _SetActiveViewport Right _Shear w0 w0,0,1 -45 _SetActiveViewport Top _Zoom _All _Extents. only partly works. everything in the plan is correct (angles, lenghts) but the heights are all wrong. something that was 15mm in my model appeared as 13.957. I tried the script multiple times in different zoom which produced different heights Does anyone know the reason for this/how to fix it? I also tried zooming to 1:1 before running the script. heights seems arbitrary and random

Hello, I tried saving down to Rhino 5 but it did not work. Then as the video tells us to have all four views open (Top. Perspective, Front, and Right) I expanded the Front view and applied the script and it ended up working. Not sure if there was a difference between saving down to Rhino 5 or Rhino 6 but it seemed to work by using only on the Front view.

Hi, is there a way to undo the script, i accidentally saved it and my model was axo forever i guess
@nsenske3 жыл бұрын
Hi Wivina, rotate your model back the opposite way (-45 degrees?) and then run the Skew command again with -45 degrees. (Whatever is the opposite of the script) I do mention in the video to save your file before your run the script, but this method should work. Good luck!

I just make a named viewport with the isometric command docs.mcneel.com/rhino/5/help/en-us/commands/isometric.htm Rhino 5, I used to do the shear. First thing on google.
@nsenske9 жыл бұрын
+Matthew Hickey The isometric command looks similar, but it does not generate a traditional 45 degree axonometric. That is why this method remains useful.
@matthewhickey85659 жыл бұрын
You would think they'd have it customizable, because obliques always make the critics smile. Oblique section perspective for the win.

This type of axonometry can also be done without code. Place the object on the vertex of the CPlane. In the top view, rotate the model by 30 ° or 60 °. In the front or side view use the Shear command and enter the value 45. In this way an axonometric view will be created from above. To create an axonometry from the bottom you have to mirror the object on a horizontal axis.
