@@ARCHITECTCHANNEL i have a question....how many total drawings (approx) does it take to build a house?
@ARCHITECTCHANNEL
@ARCHITECTCHANNEL 3 жыл бұрын
@@madhav4358 Here are the list of professionals involve in preparing drawing in a project for example a house. 1. Architectural plans 2. Structural plans 3. Electrical plans 4. Plumbing plans 5. Sanitary plans 6. Mechanical Plans if applicable. Other drawings will be added if necessary but the total more or less will be 50-60 sheets of blueprint or white print depends on the size of the project.

hi .. i stopped watching the video after about 4 minutes after seeing the LIVING room is placed on the SUNSET side of the house - can you imagine the LIVING space being used later in the day when it has been all heated up evening sun + the air surrounding has already been heated up too ..
@ARCHITECTCHANNEL

Thank you for the comments. Being an Architect doesnt mean you are only good in drawing and designing. In the given example there are space constraints with the lot. Now,If you are worrying about the heated living during sunset you must know how to deal with it. I will give you an example how we manage it since I'm working in the middle east where the hot temperature is dramatically inconvenient. Tip# 1. Put high trees to absorb the heat as I did in the floor plan. Tip#2. Use AERATED wall ( I assume you know what I mean ) Tip#3. Use insulation before installing the roof. Tip#4. Use ceiling that absorb heat ( I assume you know what materials are those) Tip#5. Use sun buffer ledges or canopies to protect the living from direct sunlight and it will provide convenient shade. Tip#6. Use flooring that is heat absorber. ( I assume you know what materials to be place.) Tip#7. Use window curtains and air condition. ( I assume you are using it too.) and a lot more...I hope you learn something from this and apply it in the build process. Thank you

please share your considerations for house design in hot countries where temperature can go above 50 in summer and can drop to sub zero in winters. including choice of materials. it will enlighten us. please also enlighten us the insulation and house design eji h is common in Uk can we adopt it else where we build heavily insulated and water tight new infrastructure

Hi, i stopped watching too, what i suggest is use a sun path diagram to properly orient your windows and location of the rooms. as an architect I never face my bedrooms and living room due north (if you live in northern hemisphere of the earth). because sun rises and set on the north during summer. you are exposing your cozy place to solar heat gain. that will be very uncomfortable for the users and very demanding to energy during the hot season. Proper orientation is important from the beginning it will save you money from mechanical equipment and materials to remedy the above mention mistakes. but if you really have no choice because of the site condition . using mechanical means to cool the space is only a last resort or option.

Thank you for your remarks, but the given example was simply for the lot itself due to size constraints. If the lot has more area then sun path can be applied to all the spaces. However, mechanical ventilation is not the only option to cool a space. Use of proper material selections and design of the house can reduce heat. Landscapes can also be a part of. Sometimes we are limited with the situation but doesn't mean there are no solutions without breaking the bank.

@@ARCHITECTCHANNEL yup there is more to a design than drawing cool sketches using materials etc. By the way your sun path is wrong which is very misleading.

By the way the sun here demonstrate general overview ( rise & set )nothing confusing here. Sun path diagram is different story with regards to theoretical calculations. Leave with the context.

@@ARCHITECTCHANNEL your context is Philippines as well as the codes you are using. It means your latitude is 10-13 deg. I was confused why is your sun path like that. Anyways have a great day.

@@ocivdelos2335 The sun always rises in the east, everywhere and regardless of the country or continent. The easternmost city in the Philippines is Baganga in Region Davao. There, the sun rises at 5:33 am and sets at 5:45 pm these days. The latest sunset is currently experienced in the west in the city of Balabac (Mimaropa) at 18:23. But the context is not about the sunpath. Have a great day as well.
