@sunshinereyes85138 жыл бұрын
Whoaaahhh! 1 thing I find amazing with this is the way you draw the line fast and straight without the use of a ruler! Though there are already lines in the sketchpad, but still, you do it good. Whereas me, even with lines as guide, my lines will go Northeast, southwest, etc :D :D :D
@ProfDrafting8 жыл бұрын
Enough practice and you'll draw them fast and straight, too! :)
@skylerhall15376 жыл бұрын
It helps if you pull your entire arm back as you draw- which will hopefully help keep you from arching your wrist and causing further twisting 😂 it's a skill you have to work on but it'll be worth to have

I will be attending college this January, will be majoring in architecture, I don't know anything at all about architecture, so I was wondering if maybe you could give me some advice... you know basic stuff I should know so I don't look stupid my first day of school. Great video btw

Hi Like It Is, my only advice is to not be afraid to ask questions because that's what you're there for, and that's what your instructors are there to answer.

I like to draw for fun. Every New paper is my new “dream home.” I dropped out of college on my first semester, and I guess it can also very by state and material... so I need to know, how thick should one draw the exterior walls and interior walls? Should be 6” exterior and 4” interior? I just do 6” for all. I also like rooms to be “even.” I draw a room and then draw the thickness OUTWARD. I wouldn’t want my paper dream home to have 13.5’ room when it should be 14 lol What kills me, is the stairs. So many stair calculators. I wish that for us who like to draw for fun, they can just have a chart with “run plus landing” for 8ft ceilings is - for 9ft it is - for 10, 12 ft it is... maybe you can do a video on basic stairs?
@ProfDrafting3 жыл бұрын
Wall thickness depends on materials used. An exterior frame wall with siding and gyp board is nominally 6". An interior frame wall with gyp board on both sides is nominally 5."

Oh hush... I don't see you making any videos on sketching. Do you even know what the definition of a sketch is? Please....
@joepoelmans59106 жыл бұрын
Obviously authors and architects make rough drafts before fleshing out bigger details. So LynZ besides the obvious fact that nobody should be listening to someone who doesn't even spell words like "sorry, you, and you're" properly or says pass the turn instead of pass the time it would be nice if people used their brain before they attempted to cut others down for perceived flaws. She's telling people basic ideas they can build on if they choose to learn about it instead of expecting perfection from a youtube video
