Penny really made this episode a notch higher than most. Her enthusiasm and infectious laugh was wonderful to see.

Yet again, one of their best episodes, and yet again it is already freely available on the Time Team KZbin channel and has been for years.

Stuart Ainsworth could absolutely have his own show...going about the countryside explaining what's what, and what's still visible...and village councils and landowners could invite him onto their land to point out explain anomalies in the landscape...it would be fascinating.

I think if it were my home, instead of putting all that dirt back on to The Keep corner, I would make into sort of a small quite area with a bench. Penny was wonderful about all this.

So did Penny have the whole keep unearthed? I thing it would make a lovely patio.

?QUESTION? What happens after you guys find PROOF? You only have a few days, though we see that you do marvelous work. BUT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU'VE FOUND SOME GORGEOUS PALACE, BUT TIME IS UP? You can't just leave a hole, gorgeous windows/jewelry or architecture? Youve got to go get it!! Do YOU continue? Does the Queen/King take over? Does the family step in?

They record their findings, cover it back up, and hand the site back over to the owners or the local archeological group to handle. It's up the owner of the site to decide if they want to shell out for a full archeological dig or if it's English Heritage or a local county archeological group they put it on the list of future prospects.

Why do they only ever have three days?
@bettyir4302 Жыл бұрын
Because they work other jobs. Most are professors during the week.

Also, i understand the purpose of the show was to encourage communities to have an interest in archeology. Therefore they would make each show an initial understanding of the archeology of an area but not be too academic for communities to understand

In a hundred years archaeologists will have some laser machine that shows everything underground. No need for digging.
