I gave up on the Colab Channel. They did like 4 videos and 2 of them were War footage. But I digress... this was an awesome how-to video. Once my new workshop is set up I think I will be giving homemades a shot, and will be using this as a guide for catches.

I sent them this in March or something, as evidenced by my lack of beard. If you want to make the catch, just use a hole saw. They are like 15 bucks and it cuts down the fabrication time from like 60-90 minutes of cutting and filing to like 5 minutes of just drilling through the polycarbonate. It's really that drastic.

archangel2014 I prefer to use a scroll saw, it does it all when combined with a drill for the internal cuts.

You know I wonder if it would be more effective to get a Dremel, put it in a vice, secure your part on the Dremel and put the file against it. Kind of like a miniature lathe.

Could you use cutting board for this or does it have to be polycarb/acrylic? I don't really want to use polycarb because the store I work at only sells polycarb that thick in the biggest sheets, for some money I wouldn't like to spend. Any material substitute suggestions would be appreciated, because I only have access to so much

Sorry everyone, the collaboration channel crashed pretty hard. We had only 5 video submissions and after a week, almost the whole moderation team quit. If anyone would like to take over, contact HeWhoMods on Nerfhaven, he's not as active but he still checks the forums and youtube realm.

For hvz would u recommend a stampede or a rapidstrike keep in mind I already own a stampede and which ever I get with be highly modded
@archangel201410 жыл бұрын
Both are good options. RS is easier to mod, just double up on the batteries and you're set. If you don't mind spending a little extra time on modding a Stampede, then just use that and save your money. I have a ton of Stampede videos if you want some ideas, and many other guys also like them. Look around and make something awesome.
