I wonder why arch in particular has spawned so many more troublesome derivatives than debian for example. Is it that arch-based distros want to use the same repos but can't keep up with the bleeding edge packages, or what?

There's also a XFCE flavor, which is more user friendly, I used it for a couple of months. I'm on Bspwm now. Openbox with Polybar and Plank seems a bit awkward. I was looking for something Arch based with the Calamares installer and not bloated, so this one pretty much fits the bill.

I'd like it more if the indicators in the panel had their own separate menu. With a System Menu, Notifications Menu and Widgets Menu, all with keyboard bindings, it would be less distracting and use a bit less CPU.

Give it a try. I didn't highlight it in the video, but there is an install mode for people running NVIDA
