Now, that has lovely, elegant theming. Reminiscent of Nord with a unique flair. Overall, Archcraft looks like a nice option for someone who wants an Arch-based distribution that uses the official Arch repositories.

GREAT REVIEW, it shows you know how to handle some starting-hassle despite lack of doc! Notice a lot of things have changed in this distro since 2021, tweeks in the presentation and keybindings, more themes and slight diff set of packages (midori is gone). Instead of the Calamares I went with the CLI installer and it taught me new things about Arch distros maintenance and journaling.

@@0x7f2c There is a Portuguese idiom that says "os olhos também comem", which can to be directly translated to English as "the eyes also eat"... Moral of the story: There are some graphical arts that become appealing by themselves for many... Garuda is not for me, personally... But its definite Eastern influence combined to the fact that it goes sort of against the current minimalism trend seems to be attractive to many. And they offer it just out of the box for you!... Your work is great, this Distro not, it's too old at least 30 years (90es style) not or never for production but just to play with the OS same like installing Amiga-OS. The scripting system is much worse than archlinux or even artixlinux because you cannot `mksf.vfat -F32 -s 2 -S 4096 -v /dev/nvme0n1p1` as well `mkfs.ext4 -F -b 4096 -F /dev/nvme0n1p2` and "gparted" don't allow or not understand this letting (at least) UEFI-partition unbootable. The biggest weakness of this distro is formatting of already 20 years old 4kiB "drives". If the OS-builder-s continue to use strictly 512 instead of 4096 PBS/LBS (physical/logical-block-size)... the manufacturer will never move (apart some exception e.g. Corsair). Every manufacturer specify drives-speed at 4k but manufacture drives with 1/8 of 4k = 512 B. This is like offering a car e.g. Ferrari with FIAT 500 motor inside and telling the buyer it could reach 340 km/h but with different motor. UEFI file system must also be changed also cause of Win-10 images bigger than 4GiB, so UEFI-FS should be ext4 and many other changes I want not explain here. One other weakness of all OSs is the "locale" settings make impossible to use `ISO-8601` for "collate" and "time" working perfectly before `systemd` at least under KDE4. In 21st century we go to 40-50 years back instead of ahead in Hardware (there is much more to criticize), software and data-base-handling. In times, where even libreoffice setup a database, the absence of ISO-8601 is ashamed. Apparently all OS-manufacturers/cooders use the Microschrott philosophy = drop features, create new bugs and sell as features. My (lapidary) conclusion: Archcraft OS -10 points (minus 10 point). Sorry!

WHY in God's do people post videos with themselves embedded in it?
