ArcheAge - Regrade madness - pushing it to the limit'n getting broke!

Hey, in May 2017 in ArcheAge NA/EU region an regrade event happened and I decided to focus heavily on my fresh start prophecy character gear upgrades. Thats why I used up my APEX gathered on opposite region (NA fresh start server) and gold earned on EU to regrade like crazy, check it out! During a stream I spent 350g on my Divine Obsidian Jerkin and got Epic was so scared cause with my luck I would have blow it up but hot dam my first Epic and the regrade event was murder on people so many went broke

charms are such a waste of gold bro for armor 700g for a regrade and for weapons 1100 mayb is kinda too much u can get more attempts out of it which in turn is a higher rate of success none of the divines i got were charmed all the charms i used came up as waste ... 35k spent

Hey, thanks for tips! However, I used credits from APEXes bought on opposite region. In my case I had those credits and used them insteado of gold to obtain charms. Plus, on fresh start scrolls were very expensive so I decided to save up those by adding as many charms as I could. And yeah, probably best solution would be to skip regrading and buy it off AH but on my server some of those divine armors are never present on AH.

probably 35 couldnt pay for a divine nodachi and 5 divine pieces .. i got does after spending 35k on the nodachi with charms and everything .... kinda salty but worth in the end|| i play on reckoning full divne f2p xD

How come you regraded so many kinda useless delphinads? And even on those ocean pieces on epherium you gotta get lucky to get ocean again.... unless you plan to feed divine delphs into erenor gear, thats really not worth it imho. especially the weapons. Majority of the server is already running at least celestial ayanads. 3.5 is gonna make that even easier to achieve even if it costs about the same but people will progress. And turning divine delphs into grand ayanads in 3.5 is kind of a waste. just my 2cents

I plan to use 4 pieces of divine delphinad + any upgradeable delphinad I get, I will make into ayanad before 3.5 Weapon was also an upgrade for myself since I was using something worse than those you saw in the video :P

in 3.5 I assume I will not progress fast so it might be better for me to roll those delphinads into same type of item and get 4 set bonus, use them for a bit and try to replace when I can afford it.

its not, double regrade event increases chance on regrades at unique and below + protect celestial from destruction. This means unique success is more likely to happen = great success is also.

great success is based off success, 20%, this didn't change. IE if you get 10 successful regrades, with or without charms, you will still get 2 greats both times. The benefit of red charm is only worth if the value of the scroll+click cost is more than the charm cost (which it was in this video on the weapons)

"Starting with server maintenance on May 17 until maintenance on May 24, we’ll be doubling your regrade success rate up to and including the Unique grade! That’s a massive x2 bonus to your success chance!" Correct me if I am wrong but if my base success chance is increased by the event and charm then it means that I will get more successful regrades = more times I will get 20% chance for great success. That is what I was thinking and aiming for.

each success gives you a 20% chance so yeah, using charms gives you more chance for a success but to make my point clearer... Imagine doing 10 regrades where the regrade scroll and click cost were 100g, per go and the charms were 200g. you could do either 1 regrade with a charm, total cost 300g. Chance for success 200% or you could do 3 regrades without charms, each at 100g for total 300g. Chance for success 300%If the charm costs more than the amount of gold to click at unique + cost of resplendent, its not worth it, this was my point, since great success is always 20%

Yeah I get it but, as I wrote in one comment here already, my main is EU, paid regrade fee and scrolls. However, my NA char had a lot of APEX'es farmed and I could increase my chance for "free" on EU char by spending credits from NA to buy and use those charms. But in the end it probably would be smarter to just use credits and sell charms, stay away from regrading :P
