I had my own cabinet shop right out of high school and always hoped to build wood projects in the style you have mastered. I love the wood working, but I don’t have the technical skills and patients to master it. You are gifted, and have Mastered the skills and I have to tell you, it is therapeutic to watch your videos oh Great Samurai Carpenter. Attitude and ego issues aside, your work *is* truly astounding. Yes it did take a minute to catch my breath after seeing that giant pergola in place. Your techniques for creating curves on such a large scale are quite masterful. Reminds me of some of the ship building stuff I've seen.

I agree. I actually didn't want to click on the video for those two exact reasons. BUT, he has skills and more importantly, the attitude of doing a job well done which shows in his work. However, I'm not buying into the "its hype for views" reason. I can think of many great woodworkers and carpenters on youtube with larger audiences who are humble and down to earth. Paul Sellers being one of my favorite.
