Hey, neighbors! Ha Being from northern WV myself, I appreciate the fact that you didn't just pile onto the mockery of WV. But I must admit/agree that southern WV sadly does have some areas that are not much different from what they depicted. Transversely, Morgantown, WV used to have more millionaires per capita than any city east of the Mississippi. Prob lost that distinction w the sale of Mylan Pharmaceuticals, which used to be located there. My point is that WV is quite the socio-cultural dichotomy. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all (y'all) for being kind to us, esp when it would have been far more easy to lean into the stereotype flogging. You guys rock in my book. I wish you continued luck w your channel! Side note: I loved that sly little detail of Ray calling Lana is "big ol' Black wife," as you may have picked up or not, that phrase has nothing to do with her size, but it is like a hillbillyesque idiom? (not sure if that is the proper term, prob not). But "Big ol'," is usually used as a way to denote something that would stand out "like a sore thumb," or something. "Her big ol' pink beehive hairdo," or "His big ol' Swastika forehead tattoo," etc. Ha It just cracked me up. I also love how the character Ray slips things in like "Go Herd," & other Marshall University related sayings into various episodes. It is a nice subtle WV shoutout. I would not be surpised if one of the writers was from here. *Capizios are dance shoes(Jazz/Tap oxford style). I guess the company actually makes a lot of other dance stuff too, but the shoes are what are most associated w the name. They are kind of iconic in that world, & elicit the kind of vibe that was alluded to in the exchange between Ray & E.Z. Thus endeth the lesson. Class dismissed!
