The team played well. Yes the penalty miss did change the game. And I think Russell will get us through this, once we win one game it will become easier. If we were playing crap I would agree with the criticism, but the way we are playing is decent. Just keep the faith. We will be ok

Hey, supporter of the opposite team. Your team doesn't get enough credit - you played a decent match, but the penalty miss changed the match. Basically a mental thing for the fans and the players (and the opposition). Martin identified everything and gets annoyed by the journalists; his left earlobe is going through a hard time - the team isn't. It's just a few games.

He's already winding me up this season. "If we had their players, we'd score" - great motivational talk for our attackers by the ex-defender! (He's right about BBD, though. He is AWFUL). "We missed the penalty and it completely changed the energy of the whole game" - so tired of managers accepting this response, as if the team is made up of junior school kids; every single player has played HUNDREDS of games where the stakes were comparatively high already, even the 18 year old involved. These players are on a massive wage and should behave in a manner that justifies it in terms of motivation and effort. I can accept us losing but to 'lose heart' if a penalty is missed is PATHETIC. I want the All Blacks spirit in my players. I'm only 2 minutes in, but the Martin mumbo jumbo is starting to irk!

I remember the Brentford manager moaning about how much money Manchester have spent after a loss😂. Almost every team tries to make it seem like they almost toppled the "mighty" United. Lame responses like "i thought we were the better team and deserved to win the game" are so common, it's just to save face basically.

Of course the penalty miss changed the game. This isnt man utd of the 90s or noughties!. I respext man utd as a club but their current team are hardly world beaters are they! If man utd wouldve gone 1 nil down in their current form i wonder what their response wouldve been.... but obviously we will never know and in the end they deserved to win, but we can all come out with man utd bravado when u win.
