Great review. This is a pretty trail from the look of it. I'm just getting into backpacking now after only doing it a couple times as a boy scout. I didn't know Ohio had much to offer in terms of backpacking, but i recently did a short loop in wildcat hallow which proved that it can be done. This will be my next hike. I found your book on Amazon and downloaded the Kindle version. I think your compilation of trail reviews will kickstart more people getting into backpacking and by extension, trail building in Ohio, which is sorely needed.

Hike this trail solo twice this past summer in my opinion is the best hiking trail in all of Ohio. If you ever hike this trail again may I suggest taking the nine bell trail just a short distance to a valley there is some pretty cool rock formations there. Happy hiking 🥾

I did hike the 9 Bell Trail. You're right, worth the walk. Take care.

After battling arthritis in my knees for the last five years, I'm gradually getting back on the trail. I will probably do Mohican first, but Archer's Fork is definitely on the list. Thanks for this video. I also got the BPO trail guide.

Hey YOMO, I'm interested in doing the trail and would love to stay in one of the caves/rock overhangs. Do you happen to know their locations on the trail either GPS coordinates or a website that lists them? Just want to plan the trail out. Thanks for your help!

Sorry, but in my hikes there, I didn't notice good camping under any of the overhangs. The ones I'm thinking of tended to have uneven rubble from the overhang breaking off. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a good spot to camp though.
