We had a fantastic time doing the Fiery Furnace on our own. So incredibly fun! The best star gazing we’ve ever done was at Dead Horse State Park. You could see the Milky Way from horizon to horizon. It was AMAZING!! We even saw the Starlink Satellite go by!

My problem with Moab they are just overprice in general... You pay a lot bucks for 2 stars motels. Personally if you dont mind to drive bit more, then better to find villages bit more far away from the parks. I have found a good option 1 hours away and the hotel price basically half then moab :)
