Norman Lear showed with brilliant comedy what an absolute imbecile the American racist is. At the same time Archie had that teddy bear side of his character that didn't ever mean any harm. Norman Lear is almost 100 years old now and I watch his podcast all the time. I wasn't even born when this show ended, I just randomly started watching it around Dec because I was watching Sanford and Son reruns on GET TV or whatever and it comes on before. Since then I've watched this episode at least 3 times, I'm pretty sure I watched it within the last week. GOAT TV show, and anybody that disagrees is wrong, case closed! Archie Bunker is the most genius character in the history of television, these episodes get better each time you watch it and you catch something subtle you missed.
