For those uninitiated, the "You know who" Mega referred to is Ken Penders, he was a longtime artist and writer for the Sonic Comic and was notable in creating Scourge, Fiona, and Elias Acorn, yes, Sally had an older brother at one point, but when Ken left Archie Comics, there was a big legal fight between Archie and Ken because Ken believed the characters he created were his and his alone, basically it was a "My OC, do not steal" situation on a much bigger scale, to appease Ken, Archie stopped using the characters and when the Super Genesis Wave happened, all the characters Ken created were wiped from the comic continuity as if they never existed. That's my surmise of what happened, if the initiated want to correct me on the details, I'd very much appreciate it, this comment is basically for the new guys who don't know.

I've heard that ken penders didn't leave Archie but was fired by Archie.

I love when you use the characters dialogue from the SA for this adaption. I love when get for the Eggman part in the begin of Sonic's Story.

Doubt it, since Sega wants to stay from any Archie reference as they possibly can, but I'm might be wrong (hopefully). Things can change in the future

@@theabsolutetrashman3708 I think Tikal and her Chaos would need to serve a purpose in the IDW comics before making their debut. They would need a reason to make an appearance.

@@capbottle1483 Like guarding the Master Emerald during Knuckles' absence (aka during Forces events ?), or acting like a spirit guide for however needs help (like Amy, Cream, etc). I just want her back (she and Chaos, tbh). I liked her hole in the pre-boot continuity, and if the Babylon Rouges manage to comeback, I think she stands a chance as well... Hopefully.

Why did Penders ruin Tikal's design? She actually looked pretty unique in comparison to the echidnas in the comic.

Great job on the video, especially on a Sunday! Sonic adventure 1 is super awesome, even when it’s adapted in comic book format. Keep being super awesome and keep doing a good job. I do love the first fight between sonic and chaos. It’s nice that you’re honoring the legacy of Archie sonic and how awesome it is, I do love Archie sonic and now IDW sonic as I Hope we eventually see Tikal and chaos again down the line in IDW Sonic. Congrats again on 5000 subs (hope you notice this finally and I’ll) See you again soon! -James m P.S, Gamma is awesome and I do love Ken Penders characters too. The issues not to bad, still has room for improvement...

SA1: Many short comings is not making Knuckles and Tikal's interactions more meaningful. one of the most important moments In Knuckles story, and his reaction is... Nothing. NO shocked, Surprise, or Ecstatic. Reaction about seeing his tribe even for a short time or it being a vision/dream. It just comes and goes just like that, SA1 is one of my favorite game in the series (That it needs a remake) because of it's importance. Where did the clever writing in gamma's story go when making everyone else's (exception being Tails) story went?

8:05 I wonder what Big was thinking when Tikal showed him that flashback. I think he was thinking on this m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIuXnmeio8-robs I am really enjoying this SA1 adaption. Sega should make a remake of this game. Sonic Adventure has a great soundtrack. Tails's theme (Believe in yourself) is my favorite.

I'm sorry but I just don't like the Archie comics aesthetically. Or at least these Archie comics. The proportions are way off, it is often overcrowded with unneeded details (Chaos), the paper feels low quality...

What annoys me about the old Archie Comics.... They give me a ''I CAN TELL THIS STORY BETTER THAN YOU VIBE''... I just hate the idea of just adding these dumb comic only characters into actual video game stories-- Makes it worst imo.
