Nicki also uses the Nuemann m149 which I believe is her main mic because In any videos of her recording that’s what she’s recording with.
@archiebeatz2 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! I like that chain of her's as well. Which is why I highlighted at 1:20 that artists have different vocal chains and they change it over the years. The chain that engineer Ariel Chobaz used is my favorite which is why I featured it in this video.

Dope vid, again. 2nd time here & I’m subbed. So my question is, what are ppl aiming for these days? Tonal quality being enhanced, like low end added to a high pitched singer? Orrrrr, a faithful reproduction of an artist’s voice/vocal? Just curious to ppl’s thoughts on this……..

Thanks for the great video mate! Do you have a video on plug-ins/gear for vocals with more punch e.g. James Hetfield type. I know metal is not your channel's thing, but maybe something similar? Also, would be really cool if you covered Max Martin.
@archiebeatz8 ай бұрын
You are welcome. I have an older video of plugins for my vocals. I'm going to release an updated version soon. No problem. All types of recordings and vocal style is my thing. When you love it you love it man. Thanks for the suggestion on Max Martin as well!
@MetalThrasher918 ай бұрын
@@archiebeatz thanks mate, I look forward! Yeah, I’m new to recording and would be very helpful to get a professionals perspective when recording vocals with more punch and how to make it sound bigger (Metallica black album), so if you know anything from the pop industry that would be very helpful. Yes I thought Max Martin tied well in with your Ariana Grande and The Weekend videos. Many thanks mate!

Hey Archie Beatz, someone’s been busy this weeks😄👍🏾. New content coming in at lightning speed😂which is great!! Also, I finally started using the Neumann NDH20 that I purchased for my birthday only just this week! So far so good. Ears are still adjusting😀 as I am so used to the Sennheiser hd650, and the NDH20 introduces a whole new level of detail, but I think these will be great for mixing, so thanks for the recommendation bro!😄 One last thing got response from one of my old posts from you this week. Please confirm if that was you.🙏🏾🙌🏾

I always wondered why when I rewind a song to Nicki's verse, I see a bar graph and it shows Nicki's verse with a higher amplitude 😅 I thought maybe she uses a different mic chain and her voice has to be processed so that the waves in her part are different from the whole song😅

Thank you! Exactly which is why I state at 1:20 that artists don't stick with the same vocal chain and change it over the years. I just wanted to highlight this particular chain because I admire the sound. Thanks for commenting.
