Ar. Ed. Gawa kayo ng vidwo tunfkol sa pagtatambak ng lupa. Kung kailan ginagawa ito at para saan ba ang pagtatambak ng lupa? Ginagaaa ba ito bago gawin ang structural o kapag may poste na etc?

I did most of my house project using the arawan. A little expensive at the end but I'm happy. I am an experienced DIY'ER and literally can sense the productivity on the project. I normally hire local labors. What do you expect? I'm set and prepared for the failures and the pa-pitik-pitik. I do get frustrated at times for unexperienced worker but i am always there to teach. Sensitive workers dont last a day. I'm not cheap. I provide the morning and afternoon meriendas, and paid overtimes. At the end. I normally give out as reward some of my especial tools to good workers and reward them with extra pay. After each month project, we all celebrate and workers are happy, they learned. So proud, i was thinking of building a little classroom in my property to teach and share my knowledge in building construction. For free, I am normally consulted by neighbors and friends during their projects and their final walk thru. Staying busy, Retired, living life, and I'm not for hire. 😀

For me, my POV is pareho lang may advantage at disadvantage sa pakyawan at arawan Sir, ayon din sa mga narinig ko at mga naka-experienced na. Sa pakyawan daw may mga manlo2ko ding contractors dahil after mong mabayaran hindi naman daw nata2pos at iniiwanan na lang na unfinished kc kinulang sa budget ung estimated amount na binigay sa owner pero bayad na sila. Sa arawan naman daw, un nga binabagalan naman ang gawa at libre pa lunch and meryienda (twice - 10 am and 3pm). So, nasabi ko sa sarili ko, dapat talaga ako magbabantay sa mga taong gagawa. Then I'll think about it (many times) either pakyawan ba or arawan ang maging desisyon ko. Thank u Archi 'coz it helps me a lot by way of watching ur blogs! 😉

Sir Ed, para ma estimate mo kung Ilang square meters pwede matapos ng isang gumagawa sa wall, Sukatin mo yung nagawa nya sa isang oras then kung expected mo mag trabaho sya ng 8 hours per day so more or less kung naka 2 square meter sya for example per 1 hour so more or less close to 16 square meters expected mo per day.

Pag mag arawan ka, wag tipirin mga workers. Dapat may incentive sila mag work para sayo. And May mga pamilya din yan sila na pinapakain. And create a happy easy going environment. Hindi yung nag micromanage ka. Kahit ikaw nagpapagawa ng bahay, tulungan mo sila pag madaming kakargahin, may lilinisin etc. Get your hands dirty from time to time. It leaves an impression sakanila.

May disadvantage din minsan kc may mga workers na.abusado at walang konsencia. Mabait at busog sila pero undertime at pa pitik pitik trabaho nila... Kung wala kang knowledge sa construction pagka pakyaw naman overpriced at mapagsamantala dahil % ang focus sa hardware at mga recommendations/ contacts nila.

Thank you Sir, Such an educational especially in productivity rate, I had hired specialty’s workers in BINANGONAN. Their rate are 800 pesos, I told them that it’s p600 per day rate in Manila. However!!! They insisted because they knew that I am in America 🇺🇸, when I told that that by trade I am an Architectural/Interior Design. They’d back out!!! Coz I told them what to do and the productivity rate, was calculated accordingly. Anyways: I can not wait to ease up the restrictions in the Philippines 🇵🇭 so that I can start my home improvements. I saw a vid before from Sir Ed din ata yon, about cost ng tiles vs laminated wood flooring. Ang tiles nasa 800 per sqm while yung laminated wood around 600 per sqm lang. Im planning na ilagay ang laminated wood sa second floor kasi di sya pwede mabasa. Di ako fan ng tiles lalo na ang glossy kasi malagkit sa paa pag humid sa bahay
