Start in the middle. Of female vocalists in metal. Start with the best. Fear of God. The band. Dawn Crosby. THE singer. Within the Veil. The album. Fear of god did two albums with her singing, don't know their second album, it was rubbish, but Within the Veil is a true hard rock masterpiece. And Dawn Crosby was one of the best singers ever, R.I.P. Please, please listen to Fear of God "Drift", the studio version. The album version. The pain, emotion and hurt she delivers in the end is amazing! One of the best songs ever! Love from Sweden

Other epic UK bands I recommend: Monuments, who just recently released a track "Leviathan" for their upcoming record. Their previous record also has many awesome tracks. If you dug ERRA I'd imagine you can get down to them. Tesseract are also an incredible band if you're not familar. Their record "Altered State" is highly praised in the modern prog circles. It is more chilled out vibes but in epic & beautiful ways.
