Been a fan of both Architects and Sylosis for years now. I really respect Josh's decision to hold back his sick shreds to write riffs that seem more in line with the sound Architects established with Tom. At the same time, he doesn't simply mimic Tom's guitar but adds his signature death metal flair into the melodies. I think this sensibility what makes Josh not just an awesome guitarist, but a great musician. Looking forward to the upcoming album!

Still suprises me that he still uses a 25.5" scale for the "Architects" tuning - I do that too (simply because I don't want to buy an extended range 6 string at the moment) - but with a 80 gauge string on the top. Also, it seems he switches guitars with different tuning - one for the "Architects" tuning and one in E-standard for Metallica and the new Architects songs with octave pedal on top.

@@mikebills3120 to me the newest newest isn't to my liking. The doomsday album was good but the past albums were much better. The singles after doomsday are definitely not to my liking. Seems like they've left the heavy technical style they used to have.
