To be honest it never felt like Sylosis was over for me. Their releases (from the second EP with Jamie all the way up to Dormant Heart) are so replayable for me that I just don't seem to get bored of their music. I'm not craving new music like I am with a lot of other bands, although a new album this year would be great

He should be able to make a living off Sylosis. I do my best to support Josh. I own all his solo stuff along with every Sylosis album and single. Bought cloths from his shop, as well as bought some of his art. I have 1 of the 20 copies of two different paintings he made. The Sword through the green skull, and the women wearing the Crown of Thrones. I’m not trying to tute my own horn or anything. I just hope more people who love his music help him out, as well as the rest of Sylosis. I’m stoked to hear about another album and can’t wait. I challenge everyone to pay for the album and give Josh incentive to consider a new Sylosis album in the future as well. We need it.

Josh is one of the most underrated players around, and it shows his love of the music and dedication that even after joining a band who are on a meteoric rise like Architects, he keeps Sylosis going. Much respect to the Captain for yet another great interview, and also to Josh for stepping up and carrying on the legacy of Tom Searle (another phenomenally underrated player and innovator).

He’s bit really underrated because everyone who knows him and his work in Sylosis knows he’s a genius and an incredible player. He is 100% under heard, deserves a lot more fame and notoriety because he’s one of the absolute best in metal but the people who do know him know he’s one of the best and don’t underrate, just underrated in the fact that he’s not nearly as well known as he should be. Dude is a metal gos in my book.

Not all of their albums are equally good, but each of them has one or more tracks that makes it absolutely indispensible. I think Edge of the Earth is better than Monolith, but I wouldn't want to miss Out From Below and A Dying Vine for the world.

The way Josh chose his first LTD guitar, looking at the headstock, was the same way I chose my MH1000. The headstock was the coolest thing around, and Stephen Carpenter from Deftones played them!

These guys inspired me to pick up a guitar, especially the song Doomsday. Tom was a true genius in songwriting and Josh is a surely equally amazing. I love the old stuff aswell as the new stuff and i really love hearing a bit of a change in Architects, but it still sounds like Architects. Love Architects and i hope to hear much more Albums in the future!

Sylosis deserves to be just as big as Architects, if not bigger. IMO Sylosis is, bar none, the best thrash band this generation has produced. It's insane, yet understandable, they aren't at least as successful as something like Trivium.
