I think whenever you're considering lyrics from the UK in particular it's worth considering that Christianity here is not what it is in the US. It's far more normal to be atheist or agnostic. So while you view the lyrics as religious, I view them as a commentary on humanity, which I think is interesting. That doesn't mean you have to enjoy it but it's just a lens to view things through. Enjoyed the reaction, and I relate to your statements about feeling like your mind is gradually opening to music you didn't think you enjoyed at first and giving it more of a chance.

All these songs are amazing. Gravity is my fav

A Matchmade in Heaven is my favorite by them. People sleep on FTTWTE but that album has some awesome songs as well. Impermanence, Animals, Dead butterflies and Discourse is dead are all good songs

Man they have some awesome stuff in their back catalogue and bar their earliest stuff always have a message… the members have punk influences for sure. Check out this short clip when they opened a show I went to in Manchester UK with Nihilist… still gives me goosebumps… the chant 🙌🏻 Start from 40 secs in.

gravedigger is easily my favorite song by architects. from the album Lost Forever (2014), it's really really heavy still, but the chorus has a good groove to it imo. also a great message about politicians and world leaders making grand promises and then not following through once they're elected (i.e. bombing foreign countries like every leader before instead of positive change). really powerful message imo edit: i just remembered you already did a reaction to gravedigger haha. broken cross from the same album would be a fantastic choice though

You should def check out the band IMMINENCE a good intro to their music would be their song/video GHOST. They're like Architects but the singer also plays violin and its great. S tier band

I wouldn't go back and do much Jinjer they were good at first but after awhile their songs are hit or miss. Spiritbox on the other hand is worth doing more of.

Hell yeah man this was by far one of their heavier tracks but the message is spot on. Most of the songs on the new album have a lot of groove to it. Black Lungs is pretty awesome.
