I shot my first architectural shoot a few weeks ago. I was excited (and surprised) my company asked if I felt comfortable, which I did. The shoot wasn't for a builder but for regular listing photos. I appreciate you adding in behind the scenes commentary, like how the on-site contact didn't want to spend time on certain details, like reflections on the counter and the pantry shot. The amount of agents that drop money and order luxury upgrades (twilight/ architectural) or huge orders that include 3D tours, floor plans, aerials, and a video tour package, that don't explain to the homeowners on-site time expectations (sometimes they don't even tell the homeowners they ordered more than just stills!) or act like they have better things to do than respect what they hired a professional for, blows my mind. I'm talking about having to re-do video clips because there are 5 people walking around, homeowners working from home who refuse to acknowledge me trying to work, leaving during a twilight shoot and turning half the lights off after being told not to, and me suggesting to remove the bath mats just to have the agent kick them under the counter. I know it just is how it goes, but as I become more experienced and shoot higher end products, I expected more professionalism from clients who want what they are paying premium pricing for. It is a huge let down when I am unable to create and capture the shots I want because I am not met half way and set up for success by those I am working with. It is always hard when the agent isn't onsite and I am only left with the homeowner to address any issues with too. /end rant. Great video, as always! I plan on trying out your editing course here in the next month or so and am looking forward to learning more from you.

These are amazing! Your lighting is top-notch. What is your experience / opinion on using tilt-shift lenses for architecture? Another RE shooter pointed out the difference and how much distortion ultra-wide angles introduced and now I can't un-see it at the edges of the frame on cabinets, doors, etc. Is the lens shift method worth it?

Thank you! TS lenses were great before digital photography, but today they are an expensive item because they are hardly needed and thus not mass manufactured. I don't use them and I have videos as to why, see www.youtube.com/@NathanCoolPhoto/search?query=shift
