Damn, I'm Guangzhou native and I haven’t been to this new station. 😂 Try the newly opened Line 7 extension, which will bring you to the very east part of Guangzhou, namely Huangpu. In Huangpu you can find lots of spots for hiking.

This is much better than New York, the States takes 10 years to fixed a high way, and nothing much changes in the subway stations. Excepts now a lot of the homeless are taking over the trains at night and treat it like their home, it is disappointed. Our GDP growth because the government spend so much in re-election and keep pushing up the debt ceilings, luckily the jobless claims still low and people still willing to spend money.

Yes, you must go through metal detector and x-ray for luggage. Although is not as exhaustive as in an airport. You can keep liquids, laptops and everything inside the bags
