@@kennethwilson8236 I haven't had any issues with previous generations, 1st one was a socket 423 with rdram, last one was a socket 1150 with ddr3, which I only replaced a couple of years ago. I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole these days though, they lost the plot. The duopoly needs competition, and not just from ngreedia.

If you'll be testing one, could you please try as many old games as possible (DX9 and older)? Main reason why I avoided buying A770 was lack of support for the older games (some ran horribly or not at all), so if you could test if Intel made some progress in this regard for Xe2, it would be absolutely superb.

There was a lot. And lot that was kept. Just looking at the percentage gains and new ways to do things better Battlemage will be a huge thing. Lunar Lake is for mobile a system-on-a-chip (SoC). Have dedicated CPU (Arrow Lake/CUDIMM) and GPU via PCIe 5.0 direct access to CPU and I think we are challenging the higher mid range. Can't wait to get the full INTEL system for APO.

Intel was smart hiring Tom Peterson and when I read negative comments about Battlemage, I trust Tom wouldn't release something that is not a significant better product. With Nvidia likely raising prices yet again, let's hope Battlemage is a great option for lower end that has great performance at the low and mid range.

It will be announced officially on 3rd December next month Released on 12th and reviewed on 13th It will release with b570 which has 18 xe2 cores based on same die G21 I think Intel will release higher end cards later on So B770 and B750 (or B760). Then who knows if it has a higher card. And probably release lower end cards of this architecture later down the road. These cards definitely looks promising Same node as Blackwell so they're efficient Reasonable prices Fixed functional architecture Extra features Etc. All hope for Intel to succeed and deliver. Definitely will pick a Limited edition high end sku

You need to sell millions of these even at a loss to gain market share. CURRENTLY, your market share for discrete GPU stands @ EXACTLY _ZERO._ I looked it up. Just as AMD had to keep their CPU prices low low low to gain market share on you. *IT WORKED.* Anything above $200 is a NO GO. As there would be _NO POINT_ buying yours over Nvidia/AMD which are superior in EVERY WAY both hardware and software. Again: NOTHING above $200 or it's GG 4 U.
@eagle_rb_mmoomin_4182 ай бұрын
Thing is Intel could just focus on APUs in laptops and ignore discrete until the blocks in the APUs are performing at low - mid range discrete perf. IE if they can hit 4050-4060 performance with their APU. Then they can scale up to dGPUs. Apparently Intel may only release the B580 (which would be a shame) for $250 and that is apparently A750 perf which is approx 2070/3060/4060ish perf. So a little bit further to go but not actually terrible at the price for a 1080P card with 12GB of RAM.
@lil----lil2 ай бұрын
@@eagle_rb_mmoomin_418 We won't know until it's released. As Intel still loves to exaggerate their numbers. Remember Arrow lake's gaming number? THEY LIED to our face front & center before release. Basically, ALL Nvidia/AMD have to do is to lower the price to match it as they already have healthy profit margin. All things being equal? Are you going to pick Intel's over Nvidia/AMD? I don't think so. PRICE is the ONLY thing they have going for them. Period. You can pick a LAST GEN card from AMD/Nvidia and STILL beats current gen Intel card. That's how hard they have to fight for this round.
