"Architecture of Aggression" Megadeth cover by Graham Ferguson

Nick Menza has been one of my favorite drummers since I was a kid, I find it hard to believe we lost him this year. I still like Megadeth, but knowing that a proper reunion with Marty and Nick can officially never happen, I have to admit that takes the wind out of my sails in a big way.
By the way, if you're new to Megadeth, if you're getting their stuff for the first time: I STRONGLY recommend that you seek out the original versions of all their albums which would have been published in the '80s and '90s. The 2004 remixed and remastered versions, and anything derived from them, should be avoided at all costs if you ask me! I don't know what all was done to them, but it's a horror. In addition to remixing and remastering, they have actually redone entire sections of the music, doing a HORRIBLE job, and Nick's brilliant drumming has either been completely redone, or largely replaced with triggers. I'm too disgusted to study it any further.
Do what you want, but there will be no revisionist history for me, thanks. Han shot first, Sulu wasn't gay, GET THE ORIGINALS.

It's always hard when people leave this earth, especially musicians, in my opinion. It's like U have a special bond to some of them. He really was a great drummer , one who will be missed very much. And like always, sir Graham , U nailed it !!

what a tight cover and great sound! sounds like you got emg 81's in there? are you using amps sims or a real amp?

Thank you very much! In this video I'm using the stock Ibanez Infinity pickups, but since then I have installed EMGs, as they are much better. (Almost all my guitars have EMGs, I love them!) The only other gear I'm using is an old Line 6 Pod XT, direct, version 1.05 firmware

Thank you! I've never been very clear on what was done to Ozzy's records, I heard they were partially redone to avoid legal/financial entanglements with former members, I don't know if that's true. I'm not even really sure who is on the Ozzy records I have! In Megadeth's case, I suspect it's just Dave being a control freak and wanting to make things his way, though he clearly had issues with Nick. It could also be restoration issues, maybe the original source had been damaged in places. You should look up Max Norman if you haven't already, he mixed/produced both Ozzy and Megadeth, and probably knows what was done. I'm a purist, I've never heard a remaster or remix that I liked better than the original.

Thanks very much! All I'm using here is a Line 6 Pod XT with the original v1.04 firmware. It's the J800 setting with a bit of Tube Screamer.
