Marvellous I was attracted to this broadcast through the separate clip featuring the voluntary by Croft my expectations were high and justifiably so! I am not looking forward to the day when the ArchivesOfSound channel closes down! Do you know who the string players were, by the way?

The string players are 'Fretwork' My channel 'Archive of Record Church Music' and the Barry Rose channel 'Archive of Sound' (Guildford Cathedral Choir) have similar names but are different channels, although we work very closely together. 'Archive of Recorded Church Music' will hopefully be going strong for many, many years to come and 'Archive of Sound' will stop uploading at some point, but only because there are no more private recordings of Guildford to upload! However, as far as I know, the channel itself will still stay on line. As a matter of interest, this very broadcast of BBC Choral Evensong is being broadcast as an Archive BBC Choral Evensong next Wednesday and I'll give you one guess who supplied the recording to the BBC for broadcasting!
