The chant by John Soaper at 12:08 is so beautiful, I wish we could hear it more of it these days...it's so perfectly in tune with Psalm singing, amazing composition.

Thanks for reply. I dep at Winchester fairly regularly and have never found these alternative words being used. I presume this changed when Andy took over

I believe these are the words from the proposed revised BCP of 1928, but this revised version was never formally adopted by the Church of England. I assume use of the 1928 version of the responses is permitted just as is using the 1928 wording of the marriage vows in the wedding service, in which the bride doesn't not promise to obey her husband.

I'm not a fan of the responses, though they are very well sung here. The anthem and canticles are great though; the B minor canticles aren't universally liked, but I think they are among his best. The Surplice quad chant is the highlight of the whole broadcast though!
