I remember getting there on a subway train that went under the river. We walked up a staircase and we were in the future. It was thrilling!

The Expo Express cars were derivatives of the H1 class subway cars that Hawker Siddeley had recently built for the Toronto Transit Commission. The key differences were: the streamlined end cars; 3 doors/side instead of 4; and air conditioning 10 years before TTC adopted it themselves. Allocation of auxiliary equipment among the cars was especially interesting. The 16 streamlined end cars all had motor-generator (MG) sets but no air compressors; 8 cars also had automatic train operation (ATO) equipment. Of the 32 intermediate cars, 24 had compressors and 8 had MG sets. Typical consists were: one end car with ATO equipment; 3 intermediate cars with compressors; one intermediate car with MG; and one end car without ATO equipment. After Expo, the Express operated intact through the 1968 continuation as Man and His World. From 1969 the system was curtailed, eventually closing completely at the end of the 1973 season. Attempts to resell them, notably to Staten Island, NY, failed, possibly in part because they had only 3 doors/side. The cars were stored first at their shop just north of La Ronde station, under the Jacques Cartier Bridge. They were then moved around to various other places, finally to Les Cèdres west of Montreal, where they were scrapped in 1995 with none preserved. For further information I recommend en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expo_Express# and the book Rapid Transit in Canada, copyright J.W. Boorse, Jr.; Almo Press, Philadelphia, 1968.

Yea and New Yorker showcase it in 1964 with the whole flushing line getting 434 new pictures window subway car to match the world fair alongside it commuter counterpart LIRR with an order of Zipcar we also showcase the 38 world fair Montreal open the new subway line yellow that took people to the world fair and it’s still a little shuttle today one line was also supposed to be heavy rails, so I feel like this is why a subway was chosen because a lot of the late world fair, and exposed, always had a subway or some type of metro system involved and as a big researcher of vintage times like music, transit and other things, the 67 world fair hosted a lot of American artist who showed on the television show with Ed Sullivan show

Certainly a very interesting documentary directed by Jack Zolov from Montreal. I want to say that I deeply scorn those tobacco smokers --- it shows how ignorant we were last century --- they deserved the ultimate punishment --- a miserable life ruined by tobacco.

On proposa d'abord les utiliser soit à Laval ou soit dans le tunnel Mont-Royal, mais rien ne découle de l'une proposition ou l'autre, et les voitures furent ferraillées en 1995 sans aucune préservée.
