This panel discussion took place at Museum of Memories: Remembering Partition held on August 4|5|6. This three day pop up museum was packed with a range of discussions, performances, screenings, exhibitions and much more, all united by the common thread of Partition.
In this discussion, Mallika Ahluwalia of The Partition Museum, Amritsar, Guneeta Bhalla of The 1947 Partition Archive, Aanchal Malhotra, author of Remnants of a Separation: A History of the Partition through Material Memory, and Kavita Daiya, author of Violent Belongings shared with us their incredible work in archiving the histories and memories of the Partition. From objects that evoke the feeling of belonging in Remnants of a Separation, to the Tree of Hope at The Partition Museum, these collections of testimonies are creating a legacy of the Partition that makes us reflect on our past. It's it amazing how hurt women were during Partition, yet here these strong, intelligent, beautiful minded women stand - doing their pain justice. Thank you for all your excellent work!

My God ! What an astounding thought, and splendid job you all did, provoking this flag-waving idea. I'm so moved, speechless and in all tears 😷 History of India & Partition has always been my preferent since teenages. I'm always fascinated by our Pre & Post independence History, Cultural History, War history, and finds my escape in them from the stacks of my Chartered Accountancy course books 😋 But being a production of 90's I could only have had a limited imagination of these greatest of events in the history of mankind, and very very little idea from the psyche I developed over from my alma mater. Visiting this ultimate museum is now on the top of my bucket-list of this year. Also, this is disheartening to see and I can't believe only 1640 views this video has got till date, and just 23 likes, without a single comment. I'm going to be the very 1st commenting here. What has happened to youth of India. 😥 I'm sharing this video with all, on every possible platform. Superb job again 👍👍👍. Kudos to the whole team 👏👏👏 Heartiest Congratulations !!😊 Jai Hind!
